Kristen Stewart wearing Proenza Schouler

Usually a fan of more monochrome fare, Kristen Stewart stepped out at the London premiere of New Moon in the bold Look 20 from Proenza Schouler’s Spring/Summer ‘10 collection.

While I definitely give her the points in effort, I’m not necessarily fancying the outfit on the Twilight starlet - not only does it make her look frumpy, but her Joan Jett hair doesn’t bode well with the ensemble.

(Be sure to check out other questionable fashion finds.)

Fashion photographer RankinRankin thinks Karl Lagerfeld must have been drunk when he slated Heidi Klum.

Chanel designer Lagerfeld has been engaged in a war of words with the German model ever since he called her “too fat to model” and criticized her husband Seal’s appearance earlier this year, but fashion photographer Rankin has hit out at the designer, saying Heidi is on a par with Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer.

“I don’t think he knows what he’s talking about. He’s a funny one, Karl Lagerfeld, he doesn’t say anything for years and then when he does it’s so off the mark. Maybe he’d had a couple of drinks.”

Rankin, who has photographed most of the world’s top models during his career, praised the model’s worth ethic and versatility: “Kate and Heidi never turn up late - maybe half an hour late - they’re never difficult, never unmanageable.

“Heidi has an amazing ability to be able to step between high fashion, high street fashion, catalogue and mainstream TV and it’s very unusual. I don’t think there’s anyone else in the world - Claudia Schiffer maybe - who can do the same.”

Lorenzo Martone and Marc JacobsAlthough Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone originally planned to tie the knot in a very small ceremony at the end of late August, news and pictures never surfaced—in other words, it didn’t happen. It also could have been due to the fact that Jacobs and Martone never confirmed the wedding (we all know that celebrities mean quite the opposite when it comes to affairs such as this).

Rest assured—the famed designer opened up about the upcoming event (vaguely at best, but I’ll take it): “We still haven’t fixed the date but Lorenzo and I believe in commitment. We’re quite classic like that. We’ve got the license, hence the rumors that we’d already got married. So hopefully it will happen in 2010. When it does, it will be very low-key.”

From the way Jacobs spoke of business at Louis Vuitton, I would hope that the pair change their mind and make their big day an extravagant one—they seem to be the only company weathering this financial storm.

“In terms of what’s selling at Louis Vuitton, the recession hasn’t changed anything… our sales are up and I haven’t noticed that people’s tastes have got more subdued. There’s this huge cult following of almost crazy people at Vuitton who just want whatever they buy to be exclusive.”

I can’t wait to see their adorable wedding pictures (or what they’d wear for that matter)!

Rodarte for Target in Teen Vogue and Glamour

While we got a hold of the lace halter dress preview from Rodarte for Target some bit ago, Teen Vogue and Glamour are now publishing images of the dress in their magazines, including a look at the nude lace dress (I want!).

Marie Claire also published a few images (seen after the jump) of the pieces, set to hit Target stores on December 20th.

Loving or loathing the line so far?

Lindsay Lohan with designer Estrella ArchsWe’ve heard what Lindsay has to say about her failed collection at the House of Emanuel Ungaro; so what does the designer whose name is still used by the fashion label?

Apparently the 76 year-old, who sold the house to an investment fund four years ago, calls it a “disaster,” but unfortunately nothing he can control: “I’m furious but there isn’t a thing I can do. I have absolutely no link with that house.”

The line, which Lohan was appointed Artistic Advisor a month before the collection’s debut at Paris Fashion Week, was designed by Estrella Archs and well-received by the company itself.

Ungaro believes that this fashion debacle occurred because he sold his soul: “This happens to a lot of designers. We were creator/owners, responsible for both the designs of the house and its destiny. But when you give up your house, we’ve also given up our soul.”

Selling one’s soul tends to be associated with acquiring money from a business deal - he didn’t give it up for free (unlike Lohan)!

Carine Rotfeld goes pantsless

We can now add famed French Vogue Editor-in-Chief Carine Rotfeld to the growing list of pantsless followers.

As much as I love Carine, the coat and boots are a little much. I know that it’s deathly freezing in New York City, but sometimes there are sacrifices one must make (she ought to take cues from Lady Gaga, who ditched more clothes in London for the sake of a lace bodysuit!).

When I look at the outfit, I feel like she’s trying to fit all of this season’s trends into one look, and it’s not panning out as well as she imagined it—can she redeem herself after this?

Tom Ford

“Yves and his partner, Pierre Bergé, were so difficult and so evil and made my life such misery… I’ve never talked about this on the record before, but it was an awful time for me. Pierre and Yves were just evil. So Yves Saint Laurent doesn’t exist for me.”

- Tom Ford on working with Yves Saint Laurent (ouch!). Could he possibly have been colder than Anna Wintour?

(Make sure to check out other notable quotes.)

Lady Gaga in US Vogue editorial

After appearing in Japanese, British, and French Vogue, Lady Gaga finally lands an editorial in the famed US edition, shot by photographer Annie Leibovitz.

In the images, Gaga depicts a nuanced witch in a more fashionable retelling of the old Hansel (Andrew Garfield) and Gretel (Lily Cole) tale, complete with Nina Ricci heels and Marc Jacobs satin shorts.

Check out the second image after the jump and be sure to catch the editorial when the December issue hits newsstands.

Katie Holmes and daughter Suri in matching outfits

Judging by a photo taken of Katie Holmes and her daughter Suri, the actress-turned-designer wasn’t kidding about that children’s collection; I was hoping she would at least spare the kids.

In the picture, Holmes and her mature daughter stepped out in matching red dresses from her range, Holmes & Yang.

I’m still in shock that Maxfield actually chose these designs over Victoria Beckham’s creations. Holmes could at least try to make her outfit look good (Suri, on the other hand, looks adorable)—is her stylist too busy sewing more ugly products?

Jesus Luz, Stefano Gabbana, Domenico Dolce, and MadonnaThe Queen of Pop has seemed to move on from Marc Jacobs and has now moved on to cozying up with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, starring in their upcoming Spring/Summer ‘10 ad campaign.

While the Dolce & Gabbana pair have worked with Madonna in the past for her stage costumes, she has never taken to glossy pages for them until now. It probably helps that her current boy toy, model Jesus Luz, starred in the previous ad campaign for their fall line (he probably wants to remain employed).

“To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true,” the designing duo said.

Shot last week in New York City by celebrated photographer Steven Klein, I’m fairly excited for the photos; however, I’m hoping that we’ll be able to recognize her face this time around (as opposed to her controversial Louis Vuitton ads that were highly edited).
