Kardashian sistersThe Kardashians are set to open a clothing store on Melrose Avenue. Siblings Kim, Khloe and Kourtney will move their shop Dash, which has been based in Calabasas for six years to a huge 2,000-square-foot space at 8420 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood because they think a better location will increase sales.

"We had our store since before we had a TV show. Fashion has always been number one, and we will always continue to focus on our store. If we have a better location, we will have better sales. I don't think our location was really ideal," Kim said.

While Kim believes the new location will help sales, she also believes the addition of her family's store to the area will increase visitor numbers to Melrose Avenue:"I think it will bring more foot traffic to Melrose, which I think will be good for the area. I don't really know about the paparazzi."

The Kardashians have Dash shops in Miami Beach and New York's SoHo and also have a celebrity lifestyle boutique called Kardashian Khaos in Las Vegas.

Kenneth ColeKenneth Cole wants people to "aspire" to wear his clothes.

The 58-year-old designer is in the process of launching a new intimates collection with Delta-Galil and he hopes people will be able to see that despite the high cost, his garments are worth the price.

"The goal is to create cool clothes that people aspire to wear. That's what I set out to do the day I went into business, but the business got in the way of it. Invariably you have processes and requirements to sustain certain businesses. Today the goal is to get this right despite some of the perceived obstacles," he said.

On his own creations, Kenneth - who last year lost $2.9 million on $478.9 million in revenue - admits he plans to "reintroduce" himself to the women's market. "We're reintroducing women's footwear and handbags as we speak. We're also going to reintroduce ourselves to the Kenneth Cole woman. We're going to speak to her in a more elevated and engaged manner. What's on her mind, and also what's on her body," he told WWD.com.

Mischa BartonMischa Barton's fashion range is reportedly selling out.

Following in the footsteps of Nicole Richie, Jessica Simpson and Lauren Conrad, the former O.C. star unveiled her own boho-inspired clothing collection last week - and apparently it's a huge success.

"Some of the pieces are flying off the shelves! So far the Mischa Signature Jacket is completely sold out and there's only one Clara Sequin Dress left in a size small," CocoPerez.com reported.

Created with help from her mother Nuala, Mischa's Place features everything from tops and trousers, through to body butters, nail polishes and handbags all at the click of a button. In a message on the site - which ships to America, Britain, Canada, France, Spain, Sweden and Germany, the 26-year-old actress says, "Together with the help of my Mum Nuala, my inspirations are brought to life using elements of my personal style. Our collection has grown and developed to reflect the consumer and myself over the seasons, whilst maintaining a consistent theme. I hope you enjoy my designs and have as much fun wearing them as I did designing them!"

Christian LouboutinChristian Louboutin is proud he has not been "beaten" by "the giants of luxury."

The shoe designer - who is to be the focus of an exhibition at London's Design Museum - is delighted he has managed to maintain independence for his label and continue to run it in exactly the way he has wanted for the last two decades.

"I've not been eaten and beaten by the giants of luxury. I started the company 20 years ago with two of my best friends and I always heard the working with friends is, in general, a disaster, but it's been very much the opposite.. I'm very happy to have kept the relationship with the two people who started the company with me," he told Attitude.

However, Christian admits he can be a struggle to work with because he is reluctant to let things go: "Mostly what I hear is that I'm very positive, optimistic and enthusiastic. I have too much energy. The negative thing is that I never let things go."

Hedi SlimaneHedi Slimane faces a tough job at Yves Saint Laurent, according to Pierre Berge. The designer was recently named as the French fashion house's new creative director and while Berge - the former partner of Yves Saint Laurent - thinks he's a great choice, he knows he has his work cut out.

"It's a great problem, very complicated, to recreate the work of a genius. Like trying to rewrite Faulkner. To put your stamp on the name of Yves Saint Laurent requires someone who has talent, conviction, rigor, a demanding nature and a great sense of color," he told T Magazine.

But Berge - who has always been a Slimane fan - knows the French-born sartorialist will not disappoint and will cope with the pressure put on him: "He is a man of talent who can preserve the genius and legacy of Yves Saint Laurent."

Paul Deneve, chief executive officers of Yves Saint Laurent, has previously said of Slimane - who used to head up Dior Homme - was the perfect person for the job. "Hedi Slimane's exceptional talent and understanding of the spirit of Yves Saint Laurent heralds a promising new chapter in the story of the maison."

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga has shown the world what she looks like with no make-up. The "Born this Way" singer posted a photograph of herself on her Twitter page without her trademark war paint or flamboyant clothes to show her fans her natural look.

The 25-year-old pop superstar was dressed down in a vest but she did add some glamour by wearing a flower in her tied back hair. Accompanying the picture was a Tweet which read, "Have a beautiful day!" Perhaps Gaga was trying to inspire her fans - who she calls her "little monsters" - by showing them they should always be proud of themselves.

Stella McCartneyStella McCartney was nervous about designing for men for Team GB's Olympics kit.

Stella has been tasked with creating the Adidas sportswear for the British team for the London 2012 Olympics and the womenswear designer admitted she worried about how to create a strong, masculine look for the male athletes.

"It's the first time I've really designed for men and I've been really cautious of keeping them feeling masculine; feeling strong; feeling like they're really representing the nation."

Stella was also determined to make sure the female athletes didn't feel left out and she wanted to incorporate "feminine elements" into the kit: "In the history of these events, it's all been very masculine and the girls have been slightly overlooked in the design process. They get the exact same strip as the guys and it's been important to me to bring in the feminine elements. This is not about me. This is about the athletes and Team GB. I didn't want to put a big fashion statement on it."

Eva Longoria's EVAmourEva Longoria was more adventurous when creating her second perfume.

The Desperate Housewives beauty is preparing to release EVAmour by Eva Longoria, the follow up to Eva by Eva Longoria and says she jumped at the chance to experiment with notes while working on the new fragrance.

"I'm not used to something that is so layered, and the second one is pretty layered with some pink lady apple and red currant. The first fragrance is a little simpler. It is like when you start drinking wine. I started with white wine and have gone into the more complex, red wine. I am taking baby steps into the more complex notes. You have different fragrances for different moods. If you are feeling seductive and sophisticated, wanting to go out and make a bolder statement, you wear the second one. If you are working around other people in an office, the first one might be more appropriate."

Eva also admitted the decision to create a signature perfume was partly selfish because of allergies which affected what fragrances she could wear: "It was born out of necessity. I wanted to create a perfume I could wear, so it grew it out of some selfishness."

Kate Hudson for Ann TaylorKate Hudson says Ann Taylor clothes make her "feel good."

The actress - who became face of the brand in January - loves the versatility of the fashion line's new collection and thinks there is an appropriate piece for every occasion.

"The new Ann is all about amazing, versatile pieces that take you from weekdays to weekends. I love that. It just makes you feel good."

Kate thinks Ann Taylor - which has been rejuvenated since Lisa Axelson joined the fashion house as head designer in 2009 - provides a "perfect mix" of modern sophistication: "When I think of the new Ann Taylor I think chic, modern clothes and bold, brilliant shades. It's the perfect mix of sophisticated fashion with modern edge."

The clothes she wears in their latest advertising campaign go on sale next month.

Carine RoitfeldCarine Roitfeld's new magazine will publish twice a year.

The former French Vogue editor has revealed some new details for the as-yet-untitled publication, revealing how often it will print and that she hopes to have it resemble a book.

"There will be no front of the book section and its emphasis will be fashion with a lot of freedom," she told WWD.

Carine flew to New York yesterday to work on the launch issue, which will be released in September. Speaking about the magazine previously she revealed it will launch with an English edition: "I am putting a dream team together to make a magazine. It's an ambition of mine to make a really iconic magazine that's fresh and exciting. There is no value in it being in French, it needs to be international and in English. It will be something less frequent than a monthly to make it more iconic, more collectable. I want to make something really beautiful, chic, different. I have to find a new way, so I am dreaming about it and working it out."
