Georgia May Jagger used to "make fun of" modeling.
The 20-year-old beauty - who is the daughter of rocker Mick Jagger and supermodel Jerry Hall - insists she never had any plans to embark on a fashion career, but her mother knew she would always follow in her footsteps.
"I was really not that into it. I always thought my mum was super-glamorous and I loved her clothes, but I was against modeling and would even make fun of it. Of course now, Mum's like, 'Ha, ha, told you,'" she said.
The blonde star also admitted she is surprised that her career has lasted so long as she knows it is unusual to stay a popular face: "I still don't expect it when I get jobs. The reason I thought my own modeling career would be a bit of a phase is because of my mum and Lizzie, who know what the industry is like. I just thought I'd model for one season. Sometimes models do last a long time, like my mum, but that's not really very common."

Elle Macpherson isn't worried about turning 50.
The 48-year-old supermodel - who was once nicknamed "The Body" - is happy to embrace getting older as she doesn't think being younger always means being more beautiful.
"I don't believe that youth equals beauty or beauty equals youth. How I feel, how well I am is more important to me. It doesn't bother me becoming 50 at all, the alternative is death, so that is not an option. I rather like the idea of flowing on with life. I have had amazing life experiences and hopefully another 50 years of experiences ahead of me."
Elle - who has two children, Flynn, 14, and nine-year-old Cy, nine, with former partner Arpad Busson - recently renewed her contract with cosmetics brand Revlon and says it makes her feel the attitude of brands toward older people is changing: "That tells me this is not an ageist society, and Revlon is a modern company."
Georgia May Jagger ‘Thrilled’ to Work with Madonna
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Fashion Designers, Models, News,
Georgia May Jagger is "thrilled" to be working with Madonna and her daughter Lourdes on their fashion line.
The model was announced as the new face of Material Girl on Wednesday and says she is delighted to work with Madonna because the "Gimme All Your Luvin" singer is one of her style icons.
"To be handpicked by Madonna and Lola [Lourdes] as the new face of Material Girl is truly amazing. It all came together rather quickly. My agent received a call from the Material Girl team saying Lola and Madonna wanted to work together with me.
From talking with Lola, she and her mum liked my style and thought it would be a good fit. I've always admired Madonna's style and I'm thrilled to be working with her and Lola. I dressed up like her for a school dance once! The campaign will break this summer. I'm sworn to secrecy until then, but we shot in New York and it was great fun," she said.
The 20-year-old model- whose parents are Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger - is also the face of Rimmel London and is currently in Paris shooting a campaign for Hudson Jeans.
Lily Cole hates trends. The model-turned-actress "hates" the idea of changing her style every few months and favors classic or vintage items in her own wardrobe.
"I don't personally follow trends, I don't even like the idea of trends. I think it's kind of absurd that you have to change every six months, so I always try and buy things that hopefully I'll like forever, and resonate with me. And I have fun with it, as well. I kind of see clothes a bit like role-playing, depending what mood I'm in. And I think, also vintage. There are so many great, great vintage clothes to find, there's a whole territory unexplored there."
Lily also admitted she has no plans to return to modeling, but is "open" to taking on the occasional job. "No, there's a lot of very brilliant, talented people in the fashion industry so I'm still open to working occasionally if it's the right person and the right situation but I've stepped quite far from that industry," she said when asked whether or not she would return to the catwalk.
Brooklyn Decker: I’m Not Great Looking

Brooklyn Decker doesn't think she looks "that great in person."
The Sports Illustrated model-turned-actress insists she isn't as attractive in person as she appears in her photo shoots and she didn't enjoy seeing herself on the big screen in her new movie What To Expect When You're Expecting.
"I have a glow, but it's good make-up. I cover up spots. Jeez, I'm not all that great in person ... And seeing myself all blown up on-screen? Times a million enlarged? My face looks like it's been PhotoShopped. It's unnerving," the 25-year-old blonde - who stars in the film alongside Cameron Diaz and Matthew Morrison - told the New York Post.
Blonde bombshell Brooklyn - who married tennis player Andy Roddick in 2009 - has previously starred in Just Go With It and Battleship, but admits her transition into movies didn't come easily: "I've taken acting lessons for some time. I'm lucky. I've done three movies. But nobody sees my two years of failed auditions. Lots of rejection - and I'm still trying. When nobody knew my name or who I was, there were a few guest shots but dozens of TV shows and pilots I didn't get. I'm used to the word 'no.'"

Miranda Kerr exercises every day. The Victoria's Secret model - who is famed for her amazing figure - says staying healthy and looking good is very important to her so takes the best possible care of her body.
"I work out a lot and eat healthily. I think that health is wealth and it's important to keep your body in shape, inside and out. I try to exercise every day, even if it's just for 30 minutes. Even running around after my little one-year-old is like a workout in itself, plus I love to walk everywhere," said Miranda, who has a 16-month-old son, Flynn, with husband Orlando Bloom.
Miranda says she enjoys the exercise although admits it can sometimes be hard work: "I enjoy the exercise that I do, so that keeps me motivated. There are times when it's tough, or you don't feel like it but once I get my workout gear on and I'm there I usually find that I can get into it and I enjoy it! I love yoga, I practice Pilates and light weights. They are the exercises that suit me and my body and that I enjoy so I stick to that. I've been doing yoga for over 12 years now - I like the [physical and mental] effect it has on my body."
Rachel Zoe Spent Sleepless Nights Over Karolina Kurkova’s Met Ball Dress

Rachel Zoe spent sleepless nights over the Met Ball dress she designed for Karolina Kurkova.
Model Karolina stunned critics at the prestigious event in New York last week in a custom-made sequinned gold gown from the Rachel Zoe Collection, but the designer admits she was very nervous beforehand.
"I spent a lot of nights dreaming about what I wanted it to look like. Long sleeves, a very low back and a high neck were all musts for the dress, but the much-talked about headpiece was a last-minute addition. It happened literally the day before. 'What can I add to really take it to the next level?' So we made the turban-slash-head-wrap to give it that deco-glamour that [Elsa] Schiaparelli was so known for," said Rachel, who is a stylist to the stars.
Karolina, 28, walked the red carpet in the floor-length bodycon number at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala with 40-year-old Rachel, who wore a white dress from Commes des Garcons.

Tyra Banks: I Used to Get Told I Was Too Fat
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Health & Beauty, Models,
Tyra Banks used to get letters saying she was "too fat" when she was a size six.
The America's Next Top Model host has spoken out in support of Vogue magazine's anti-eating disorders initiative and she has slammed fashion designers for only hiring skinny models.
"When I was a model I was a four and then I started to become curvy and became a six and I got so many letters saying I was way too big and fashion designers were telling me I was fat. My mom got letters from designers saying they are not going to hire me anymore," she said.
The 38-year-old supermodel recalls being shocked at seeing models so skinny they had developed lanugo, a fur that can appear when a person is malnourished, and she is grateful to the publication's campaign for highlighting some of the issues in the fashion industry: "This is a really big deal as it's been an unspoken rule in my opinion that the fashion industry says it's OK to be as skinny as you can just as long as you can walk and you don't faint. I would see girls that had lanugo on their skin, a duck-like fur that comes on your body when you're anorexic when you're body is screaming out for warmth."

Karlie Kloss and Jason Wu’s $50,000 Walk
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Fashion Designers, Models, News,
Karlie Kloss and Jason Wu are teaming up to raise $50,000 for AIDS organizations.
The model and the designer are close friends and will head up a team called Step Forward to complete a 6.2-mile sponsored AIDS Walk around New York this Saturday. They are currently taking sponsorships to reach their target.
"The idea came about at the Met Ball with a mutual friend of ours. We were in a sea of glamour and we looked at each other and said, 'what do we do next?' The AIDS Walk became a perfect opportunity to change our ballgown and black tie for sneakers and work-out clothes. Juicy Couture is even donating a bucket of money for me to wear their clothes for the event which is amazing - it's fantastic to see my friends in the fashion community getting behind us, come on guys!" Karlie explained.
Karlie, 19, wore a custom-made pink gown by Jason to the Met ball earlier this month. She joked she had been training for the walk by getting plenty of practice on catwalks:

Kate Moss insists she has bad clothes days "just like anyone else."
The 38-year-old supermodel - who is regularly referred to as one of the most beautiful women in the world - revealed she often leaves her garments "strewn all over the floor" on days when she doesn't know what to wear.
"God, yes! Just like anyone else I have bad days and leave clothes strewn all over the floor. Just ask my friends," she said when asked if she ever has bad clothes days.
But even when the stunning star is unsure about what to put on, Kate knows she can always rely on styling herself in jeans, jackets and trouser suits because she believes that look suits her the most: "I love the jeans, jackets and trouser suits. I think it's a look that works well for me."
Kate revealed supermodels Christy Turlington and Canadian beauty Linda Evangelista were her biggest modeling inspirations when she was growing up: "When I started it was Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista. I love Twiggy and Jean Shrimpton too."
