Lizzie Jagger, Jerry Hall Strip Down to Promote Sustainable Fishing
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Celebrities, Models, News,
Something fishy is going on with underwater wildlife, and celebrities like Lizzie Jagger, Jerry Hall, and Emilia Fox are shedding light on the issue by getting nude.
Not unlike PETA's "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign, FISHLOVE is a campaign founded by actress Greta Scacchi and photographed by John Rankin to spread awareness about the dangers of overfishing. "Fish stocks are at a critical level. This could not only see fish wiped out, but could have a devastating impact on the climate. "There is a real chance of turning things around, and celebrities are a great way of raising awareness," Scacchi explained.
The photographs (more seen after the jump) will be on display starting October 25 at the Pertwee, Anderson & Gold gallery in London, coinciding with an EU summit which will address the overfishing issue.

Alexa Chung is writing her debut book. The fashionable model-turned-TV presenter has inked a publishing deal and is penning her first book - a style bible - set to be released next year.
The book will offer unique style tips and inspiration directly from the Vogue contributing editor's own personal wardrobe, along with plenty of glossy pictures of her looking on-trend. The 28-year-old is currently combining her passion for fashion with her new interest in acting by signing up to guest star in the new series of Gossip Girl.
Daphne Guinness Ordered to Pay Damages

Daphne Guinness has been ordered to pay her neighbors substantial damages.
A New York judge has ruled the fashion designer responsible for flooding Karim and Tina Samii's $8 million apartment - located below her own property in the former Stanhope Hotel in Manhattan - after allowing her bath water to overflow on three separate occasions.
"All I have ever wanted is to make amends and make this right. I've always been happy to pay for their damage, and have already been doing so. I would never intentionally flood their apartment. I by no means want to be a bad neighbor. I have totally waterproofed the place and now it is the safest apartment in New York," the style icon told The New York Post.
Justice Richard Braun rejected her neighbors' bid to secure $1 million in damages amid claims they felt "terrorized" and suffered "emotional distress" at the hands of the socialite. Their bid to secure a court order to prevent her from ever bathing in her property again was also denied.

Lara Stone's friends laugh at her for being married.
The 28-year-old supermodel - who tied the knot with 41-year-old comic David Walliams in May 2010 after eight months of dating - admits her former hard-partying ways meant many of her pals never expected she would settle down.
"My friends still make fun of me for being wed. They find it so hard to believe. Even four years back they wouldn't have expected it. It was quite unexpected, but it has made me happy. I feel secure. It's really calming somehow. We both have such random jobs, it is not mundane. He doesn't go to the office while I cook him dinner, so I don't feel like I have to be too grown up about the whole thing," she said.
Although she and David are very happy together, Lara isn't ready to have children just yet - because she and her spouse are so smitten with their dog Bert, who the Little Britain star gave to his wife in February.

Tyra Banks Was Bullied for Being Skinny
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Health & Beauty, Models,
Tyra Banks was bullied at school because she was so thin.
The supermodel says she grew three inches and lost 30lbs in the space of three months when she was 11, which left her a target for bullies. The 38-year-old beauty said, "When I was 11 years old, I grew three inches and lost 30 pounds in three months. So I went from being a mean bully, cute little chubby little girl to shooting up, [weighing] 98 pounds and just looking sick and frail. I wasn't sick, but people thought there was something wrong with me. I was the brunt of every joke, every bad thing. I hated my reflection in the mirror. I would try to stuff food down my throat to gain weight."
And although Tyra has enjoyed a successful modeling career, she admits she still has some insecurities. "Even though I later gained weight and became a supermodel, that girl always lived inside of me and I know what that felt like. I start projecting images that I know make my 11-year-old self insecure," she told The Huffington Post Live.
Items Du Jour: Rihanna on Vogue, Lana Del Rey for H&M

+ Angelina Jolie was photographed on her way to meeting Turkish leaders to discuss the crisis in Syria looking like she just walked off the runway. Or perhaps maybe she just borrowed the loose, flowing, ground-length gown from her latest film, Maleficent.
+ Elsewhere, Miley Cyrus was snapped up wearing a black crop top with a pair of pants that could easily have been her pajamas; however, she strangely seems to be pulling the look off. Perhaps this is the magical work of her new, daring 'do?
+ Avid Twitter poster Rihanna broke her own news that she'll be covering Vogue a second time; Annie Leibovitz is again set to photograph the singer for the fashion glossy.
+ H&M released a behind-the-scenes video of the upcoming Lana Del Rey campaign, which was shot as a music video of the singer covering "Blue Velvet." Of course, because no one wants to be all that original these days, it looks very much like the David Lynch film of the same name.

Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls to Host Revamped House of Style
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Fashion Shows, Models, News,
Just like plenty of movies and fashion trends these days, television shows are also constantly being recycled. MTV, for one, has decided that it's time to bring back the nineties fashion-centric House of Style - this time, however, it will be hosted by models Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls.
MTV announced the news at Thursday night's Video Music Awards, which both models attended to raise awareness of the upcoming program (in addition, of course, to their primary job of just looking stunning on the red carpet) “I can’t believe it," Smalls said. "I’m in shock as well,” Kloss added. “It’s unbelievable and such a huge honor. We have major shoes to fill.”
Cindy Crawford, Amber Valetta, Molly Sims and Rebecca Romijn were a few of the models who hosted the original show back in the day. “Both industries have changed quite a bit. So it’ll be interesting to see how we show that," Kloss said.

+ "Born to Die" singer Lana Del Rey covers British GQ in nothing more than jewelry. Dubbed Woman of the Year by the men's magazine, her editorial on the inside of the glossy is apparently just as risque.
+ David Sims photographed Gisele Bundchen for the latest ESPRIT campaign, which features Mrs. Brady in a cool, tailored suit coupled with tousled sex hair (because that's totally how everyone wears their locks to work).
+ Singer of the infectious "Call Me Maybe" hit, Carly Rae Jepsen, is expanding her empire by modeling for Wet Seal. To celebrate the union, the clothing store is giving shoppers a chance to win a shopping spree with Jepsen, as well as tickets to see her and Justin Bieber in concert.
+ Katie Holmes opens up to WWD about her fashion career, in which she claims that she's not afraid to fail (although anyone with a hefty divorce settlement from Tom Cruise would also probably not be too afraid to waste money).

+ T: The New York Times Style Magazine published an interview with Emma Watson, who discusses how she used fashion to distinguish herself from her Harry Potter alter ego, Hermione. The profile is paired with images of Emma in some androgynous Ralph Lauren looks as well as one where she channels Twiggy.
+ Lana Del Rey's line for H&M isn't out yet, but the retail giant has unleashed photos of the singer in the clothes to get us talking about it.
+ Speaking of H&M, the folks behind the Swedish company's marketing team have done the ladies all the great service of erecting several statues of David Beckham at their stores across the country. Best yet, he's in his underwear!
+ In a personal and intimate photoshoot, Orlando Bloom photographs his wife Miranda Kerr for T: The New York Times Style Magazine. In addition to just being downright cute for doing this together, Bloom's photos aren't that bad for someone who has spent what seems to be more time in front of the camera.
