Crystal Renn backstage at a recent fashion showPlus-size Model Crystal Renn recently sat down to give more of an explanation as to why her weight seems to be dropping so rapidly. The 24-year-old, who had been heralded over the past year for her size 12 dress size, appeared on the catwalk for the Chanel Resort collection looking much thinner than before.

When fans of the curvy model threw up their arms and angrily typed away at their keyboards, her agent made a statement assuring fans that she was still a "solid size 10," and there was nothing more to worry over.

Renn has since appeared in a coveted Chanel campaign, as well as having walked for Lagerfeld, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Zac Posen this past season. The more publicity the model attracts, the more people notice that she's slowly starting to lose weight again. Her answer? Exercise!

"Well, I’m so active. In the past, I avoided exercise because it brought back terrible feelings. I wasn’t ready. And I was scared that maybe I was going to be addicted again. That’s a fear that goes through your mind, whenever you’re getting over an addiction or a disease like anorexia, yeah, I absolutely was worried. But then I guess you could say my life changed in a really drastic way," she explains.

Selita EbanksSelita Ebanks was dismissed from Vogue magazine with a wave of the hand from editor Anna Wintour. The Victoria's Secret model - who has recently been lauded for her starring role in Kanye West's Runaway film - told how she once had a disastrous meeting with bosses at the fashion bible.

"I wore Timberland boots. I had on corduroy high-water flooded beige pants with a button-down plaid shirt. I was a tomboy. I remember walking in ... Trudy, from Vogue at the time, she looks at me startled and I didn't understand why. I was like, 'What up? Who am I here to meet?' I walk into the office, I got maybe two steps into the room and I look and it's amazing Ms. Anna Wintour. She goes [makes a dismissive wave] and dismisses me. Needless to say my cover did not come out, to say the least, and I have never shot Vogue magazine," she explained to MTV News.

Rather than being bitter, Selita, 27, considers her visit to the offices a learning experience. "Now that I reflect back on it the lesson is to always do your homework. Always be aware, don't just take people's word for it and walk into a room. I should've asked, 'Who am I here to see? Who will be in the room?' But this is something you live and you learn."

Erin O'Connor on the runwayErin O'Connor only became a successful model after cutting off all her hair.

The 32-year-old beauty says she wasn't getting very many jobs when she first started out in the industry because she looked so similar to the other girls, so took advice and chopped off her long locks.

"When I first began modeling I was very conventional looking - I had hair down to my waist. I went on a photo shoot and a make-up artist told me 'You need to cut off your hair - it's doing you no favors. If you do that we'll see you.' A new identity was born for me - quite tough, quite unapologetic but definitely there."

Erin recently revealed she has no plans to retire from the catwalk, despite being one of the more older models. "I hate that idea of retirement or 'You're past your sell-by-date.' That is very odd, because, for me, it is about moving, showcasing and being an outrageous poser. You'd think after 15 years I would be bored, but I'm not. The catwalk is like liberation, because there is a bit of performance involved, a bit of skill thrown in, so it doesn't matter what age you are."

Georgia May Jagger for Hudson JeansGeorgia Jagger is glad she has her mother's looks, because she can model jeans. The aspiring model - daughter of Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger and his ex-wife, former model Jerry Hall - recently starred in a campaign for Hudson jeans, which she said suited a "sexier" fuller-figured woman, rather than the skinnier frame of her older sister Lizzy.

"When mum was first modeling, it was all about that Thierry Mugler woman with the tiny waist and the giant a**. They used to pad their hips. I think it's much sexier. Lizzy and my dad are naturally skinny. I model jeans. You need a bum for those," the 18 year-old said.

Georgia - who has also appeared in a campaign for Rimmel cosmetics and has walked the runway for Chanel - also said she was shocked when she saw the sexy results of her Hudson campaign, in which she was photographed topless but covering her modesty. "My mum did a lot of very provocative work with Helmut Newton. She understands. It is pretty crazy, though. I didn't think that it was going to be on giant billboards everywhere. I'm sort of like, 'Oh, God!'"

She also added that she has managed to steal some of her father's wardrobe for her own, adding to Harper's Bazaar: "But just 60s and 70s stuff. The newer stuff dad still owns. Most of the costumes look iconic in pictures, but up close, they're terrible, covered in plastic beads meant to look like rhinestones. My dad has more sparkly stuff than most men."

Ava Sambora modeling for her dad's collectionRichie Sambora will support his daughter if she wants to become a full-time model. The Bon Jovi rocker, who has his own fashion line, White Trash Beautiful, says 13-year-old Ava is already showing signs of making it in the fashion world after modeling clothes for his range but says she needs to finish her education first.

"It's so much fun. I did a photo shoot with her a few years ago. I just said to the photographer, 'Can you take some pictures for me, for my house of my daughter?' And she went 'Dad can I model?' The only modelling she has really done has been at my shows. That is where we are right now - her priorities are schoolwork and also I believe in maintaining the innocence of children. Before that when she is 18 or 19 she is going to do what she wants to do and I'm going to support her and help her through it," Richie said of working with his daughter.

However, Richie says if Ava does want to make it as a model, she will have to be prepared to work very hard. "Be very afraid and work very hard at your craft. There's so many people trying to get in. It's getting harder and harder all over, in every industry in every business," he advised.

Actress Julianne Moore has been named as the new face of Talbots. The 49-year-old replaces supermodel Linda Evangelista as the face of the women's clothing brand for their Spring 2011 campaign, starring in an advertising campaign and a catalogue.

"Julianne Moore. I've been dying to say those two words for two months. What I love about Julianne Moore is that she's a natural beauty-she's a true American beauty. She will make our brand feel modern, which is what the 40-ish woman is. She's effortless-an effortless beauty," Talbots chief creative officer Michael Smaldone said at his latest signing.

He also said he hopes Julianne will be less "severe" than Linda, adding, "A lot of women recognized Linda Evangelista as a woman they knew. The reaction was tremendously positive. We wanted it to be dramatic - we wanted it to turn a lot of heads, which it did. We were more severe on purpose . I think Julianne Moore will soften our look."

Julianne has previously modelled for designer Tom Ford and starred in a series of ads for fashion brand Bvlgari, where she posed naked with a handbag and lion cubs, which were banned in Venice, Italy, for being too racy. Linda's Fall/Winter 2010 campaign was used to re-launch the brand. Julianne will shoot the photos for the brand this week with photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
