Karl LagerfeldKarl Lagerfeld is to launch a one-off beauty line.

The Chanel designer has teamed up with Japanese beauty giant Shu Uemure to create a range of cosmetics, entitled Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura. While specific details on the range have not yet been revealed, president of Karl Lagerfeld Pier Paolo Righi told WWD that the products will reflect the designer's "iconic, ironic style."

Karl - who has used Shu Uemura cosmetics to hand-color his fashion sketches for over two decades - is in charge of the collection's color selection and packaging and has already photographed an accompanying campaign.

Meanwhile, Karl has been immortalized in wax his native Germany's oldest waxwork museum, Panoptikum Hamburg. The model took almost a year to create and features an uncanny resemblance to the eccentric designer, featuring his white hair tied in a neat ponytail, his trademark dark glasses, fingerless gloves and slim tailoring. The waxwork - which was created by a team of sculptors - was officially unveiled last week.

Alexander SkarsgardAlexander Skarsgard has become the new face of Calvin Klein.

The Battleship actor has signed a deal with the fashion house to front its latest campaign for one of its male fragrances. Alexander is believed to have shot the ads two months ago although all other information is being kept quiet for the moment.

This is not the first time the True Blood star has appeared in a fashion campaign. Two years ago he was the face of suitmaker Hickey Freeman in an ad campaign shot by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz. Hickey Freeman's creative director Joseph Abboud had said of Alexander's role, "We want to attract the younger and younger-thinking customer. Hickey Freeman was much more traditional under the old regime. It lacked sex appeal."

The Swedish heartthrob recently revealed how he likes to pay tribute to his home country by wearing a lot of their fashion brands: "I'm interested in fashion and I love a lot of Swedish brands: Acne, Whyred, Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair and Hope."

Kim KardashianKim Kardashian wanted her new perfume to be "mysterious."

The 31-year-old socialite is set to release her fourth scent, entitled True Reflection, as says she wanted something different from the others so picked richer flavors.

"I wanted a scent that's mysterious. I really like white florals, so I included those, along with chocolate and plum. It smells so unique. It's definitely the most different from my previous fragrances. My others are really heavy. I think this one's richer. It feels sultry," she said.

Kim - who is currently dating Kanye West - says she will be wearing her new perfume when she goes out at night and loves it when people compliment her on her smell: "This one's a bit more nighttime for me. Everyone always asks me what I'm wearing. I love being in an elevator and hearing people say, 'What's that smell?'"

Kim Kardashian with no makeupKim Kardashian "hates" herself when she falls asleep wearing make-up.

The 31-year-old socialite usually takes great care of her skin, but admits she sometimes forgets to remove all her cosmetics before going to bed, which really annoys her.

"I fell asleep in my make-up two days ago. My skin was perfect and then I fell asleep with all my make-up on. I woke the next morning and was like, 'Why did I do that?' I hate myself every time I do it."

Kim - who is currently dating Kanye West - says she likes to regularly scrub her skin as well as putting sunscreen on in order to keep her looking her best: "I use Per-fekt. It's a face wash, toner and a moisturizer. I put sunscreen on afterwards and I use a scrub three times a week."

However, she admits the biggest beauty blunder she can make is not having her face match the rest of her skintone: "Sometimes your face will be too pale for your body, and that sucks."

Elizabeth HurleyElizabeth Hurley has to make more effort with her appearance now she's older.

The 46-year-old beauty says reaching a certain age shouldn't mean looking worse and insists that 40-plus women should always look fabulous even though it takes more time.

"I love women looking fabulous and I don't think growing older means looking less good. For me, it's less about trying to look younger and more about making sure you look your absolute best. Without doubt, once I hit 40 I had to make more effort," the Gossip Girl star said.

Elizabeth - who is engaged to Australian cricketer Shane Warne - also admitted her modeling experience has changed her outlook on beauty: "When Estee Lauder approached me out of the blue and asked me to work for them I was staggered, as I'd never modeled before in my life. They taught me to make and appearance and now, eighteen years on, it's become a habit. I don't look glamorous every day as I work and have my son to look after, but I watch my weight, don't drink much alcohol, don't go out much and try not to bite my nails."

Charlize TheronCharlize Theron can't see herself ever getting plastic surgery.

The Snow White and the Huntsman actress says she has no desire to go under the surgeon's knife in the near future although admits her opinion may change in many years to come.

"I can't foresee myself ever going under the knife, but then again, I'm only in my mid-thirties. Maybe it's different when you're in your mid-sixties. So I don't want to make statements about where I'm gonna be in 30 years."

The 36-year-old beauty says she's happy to get older but knows that her changing looks can be quite difficult with the industry she works in: "I look in the mirror and my face is changing. I have a different relationship all of a sudden with myself. Your face changes, things change - that's just kind of what happens. There are days when I definitely look in the mirror and go, 'All right, I need to find a cream.' It's hard in this industry, because I think so much importance is put on how you look. I'm not brave enough to be like, 'You know what? I'm just going to let it happen. Whatever. I'm so cool with every line on my face.'"

Shirley MansonShirley Manson used to "torture" herself for not being pretty enough.

The Garbage frontwoman - who is renowned for her unusual look - admits it took her time to learn to accept herself but now does not think about it and has a dismissive attitude.

"I used to torture myself because I thought I wasn't pretty enough, I wasn't young enough, I wasn't this or that enough. Now I'm like, 'F**k it.' I don't want to pay that price and pretend I'm something I'm not," she told Nylon.

The 45-year-old star recently admitted her band - made up of herself, Butch Vig, Steve Market and Duke Erikson - were the "weirdest looking cats" around: "There was a lot of queerness about my band. Are you kidding? We are the oldest, weirdest-looking cats out there, we look so f***ing bizarre. I always used to be a little ashamed that we were older; that we weren't beautiful and young and cool and wearing super-cool clothes. There was a feeling of, 'Oh I wished we looked like The Clash.' This time around, I love how much my band look. I think we look like the cast from a French movie. It's about self acceptance."
