Raf Simons

"I have so much respect for John [Galliano]'s technical skill and the fantasy, it's just something that I don't find relevant now, especially when it restricts a woman, because in every other area they have so much freedom."

- Dior's new creative director Raf Simons comments on his predecessor, who was famously fired earlier this year over a public anti-Semitic rant.

Christy Turlington+ Although Kristen Stewart seems to favor t-shirts and sneakers when not on a publicity tour, but she cleans up quite well when she is! Although she doesn't seem too much of a Victoria Beckham fan, Stewart looked great in an orange number from the popstar-turned-designer's eponymous line at an appearance on Live with Kelly and Michael.

+ EMA host Heidi Klum may have worn Versace the whole night of the event, but not all of them seem to be the best of fashion choices. The same goes for the rest of the stars that evening - Lana Del Rey wore the most plainest black dress while Kim Kardashian looked like she was wearing a train of black trash bags.

+ Want a pair of heels you might have seen on display at the Victoria's Secret fashion show? Unfortunately, designer Nicholas Kirkwood says he's not selling them - unless you want to special order some through his stores, of course. He also seems to hint at the possibility of collaborating with the lingerie giant in the future.

Lindsey WixsonFashion photographer Tim Walker has offered up a taste of what to expect from his upcoming photo book, Story Teller.

While some photos immediately recall famed editorials of his from years past, he has also included new material, including a portrait of Alexander McQueen - seen after the jump - joining a skull for a cigarette break (this was actually the last known photo taken of McQueen before he died in 2010).

The title Story Teller is quite appropriate for Walker, considering his theatrical, colorful sense of photography (which, of course, seems to be a fashion designer's dream!).

The retrospective will span a hefty 254 pages of his work, mixing editorial and portraiture from back to 2007.

Nicolas GhesquièreFashion designer Nicolas Ghesquière has announced that he will be leaving his post as creative director of Balenciaga.

The news comes as a shock to many, as there was almost no word previously that the French designer was planning to part ways with the fashion house he's headed for fifteen years. Fashion critic Cathy Horyn, however, has a theory that Ghesquière's departure may have something to do with Yves Saint Laurent's new creative director Hedi Slimane.

An official statement from the company stated that the decision was made jointly by Ghesquière and PPR, the group which owns Balenciaga. There was no additional information offered from the company.

Ghesquière's work at the Paris label has received numerous praises, attracting celebrity fans like Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Connelly.

Gaspard Ulliel Yves Saint Laurent

After a "huge audition [process]," French actor Gaspard Ulliel - whom you may recall from Gus Van Sant's heartbreakingly sweet short in Paris, Je T'aime - has been cast as the lead in an upcoming biopic of French fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent.

Announced this past year at the Cannes Film Festival, the film - directed by Bertrand Bonello - will go into production this spring. Although there is neither a formal script nor screenplay just yet, the film is expected to focus on the designer's life from the mid-Sixties to about 1976.

Lana Del ReySinger-turned-fashion darling Lana Del Rey just may front the next major Versace campaign.

Fresh from covering Vogue UK and collaborating with retail giant H&M, it would be no surprise if the Italian fashion house were to snag her for their next set of advertisements.

The rumors began when the Twitter account @LanaDelReyWorld wrote, "NEWS: After being the face of H&M and Jaguar, @LanaDelRey is now officially the face of the clothes label, #Versace. Photos will follow!"

While neither the brand nor the singer's spokespeople are talking, neither of them are denying it, either!

Del Rey is also a brand ambassador for Mulberry, who loved her so much that they named a bag after her. So yeah, folks in the fashion world kind of love her.

L'Wren ScottAmong the dozens of rumors circulating the Angelina Jolie/Brad Pitt wedding, the most talked about one at the moment claims that L'Wren Scott has been tapped to design the A-list actress' wedding gown.

"[Angelina]'s been courted by some of the hottest designers on the planet, but having a big name isn't important to her... Of all the people she’s met with she feels L’Wren is the one that understands her body the most," a source said.

The rumor isn't so far-fetched, considering Angelina, 37, has worn some of Scott's creations on the red carpet.

"Angelina wanted someone who is not so obvious for designing wedding gowns. L’Wren is famed for designing clothes to suit taller, thin women like herself," the source added.

On top of that, fittings would be quite easy considering L'Wren lives in the house next to the one Angelina and Brad purchased in Surrey earlier this year!

David and Victoria BeckhamVictoria and David Beckham are reportedly planning to move to New York City.

The couple are currently settled in Los Angeles with their children - Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, 10, seven-year-old Cruz, and 15-month-old daughter Harper - but are considering relocating to the Big Apple so Victoria can concentrate on her fashion line.

"Everything is up for discussion at the moment. David may well choose to stay at his team LA Galaxy, or he may leave and retire from football. There are big conversations to be had. Victoria is keen to move to New York to set up her business there and open her first store. She looked at a school while she was there. There are also business opportunities for David, too," a source told Grazia.

Victoria and David are also considering a move to London, but worry that uprooting their children across the Atlantic might be too dramatic and would spell the end of David's soccer career.

Courtney Love's Never the Bride lineCourtney Love took to popular microblogging site Twitter to offer her fans a sneak peek of her upcoming clothing line, titled Never the Bride.

Whether you're excited or humored by Love's foray into the fashion world, the photos seem to indicate that Love isn't too shabby (no pun intended!) of a designer (which perhaps isn't all that surprising considering the following she has for her own style).

The photos (a couple more can be seen after the jump) feature Chloe Norgaard, whose multi-colored locks compliment the pale pallet of the collection, which was made from repurposed vintage clothing.

What is the essence of Never the Bride - in Courtney's own words? "This is the stuff that I would wear if I was young enough to not look like Bette Davis in Whatever Happened After Baby Jane?" No word yet as to when or where you'll be able to snag a few of the pieces, despite Courtney incorrectly reporting on Twitter that they'll be available on Net-a-Porter.
