Olivia WildePerhaps due to looking at too many recent Rihanna pictures, Olivia Wilde is on a quest to wear sharp-shouldered jackets.

The House actress loves wearing fashionable, daring outfits so much she dreams about them while she sleeps and is on a mission to continually extend her wardrobe.

“I even dream of buying a Balmain jacket with really sharp shoulders. If I can pull off that look, I will have succeeded, at least partially, in my quest. A cool leather jacket is my security blanket. No matter what I have on underneath, I feel more like myself when I’m wearing one.”

The 25-year-old beauty also looks in High Street stores for quirky outerwear which she will mix with designer brands.

“Coats from H&M are inexpensive and usually have something extra going on - so even with a simple sheath dress, your outfit is still interesting. I own a lot of Helmut Lang. The pieces are practical in the sense that you can wear them every day, but they’re not boring at all.”

Kate MossKate Moss was so taken with a fellow guest’s bracelet at a recent wedding she bought it off her straightaway.

The supermodel became smitten with jewelery designer Ann Dexter-Jones’ accessory during a mutual friend’s nuptials and insisted she wanted it immediately. So Kate’s friend and boss - billionaire retailer and head of Topshop Sir Philip Green - offered Ann a large sum of money for the bracelet.

“She was so crazy to wear it so Sir Philip Green insisted Kate have it immediately and bought it for her right off my wrist.”

But Ann - who designed the black onyx, black diamond, solid gold and silver bauble, as part of her new jewelery line - wasn’t too upset because as well as the money, Kate also gave her another bracelet to wear. She told the New York Post, “And Kate gave me her Chanel bracelet as a gift, so that my wrist wasn’t bare.”

Ann’s line, Ann Dexter-Jones, debuts this week.

Gisele Bundchen featured in Vogue Italia- Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone finally purchased a townhouse in New York’s West Village for a cool $10.4 million. To think that this was the house that the couple claimed they counting their pennies for!

- A new type of plastic surgery involves liposuctioning fat from your butt and injecting it into your breasts to increase their size. Here I thought Fight Club‘s idea of re-using fat for soap was bad.

- Twitter inspires fashion photographer Steven Meisel, prompting him to get a pregnant Gisele Bundchen (as well as Lara Stone, Sessilee Lopez, Naomi Campbell, and others) taking pictures of herself via Meiselpic—clever, right?—for the December cover of Vogue Italia.

- In interesting collaboration news, John Galliano recruits David Lynch (Mulholland Drive, Eraserhead) to direct his next installment of Dior short films. Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard will star in the short features.

- Proenza Schouler finally has an e-commerce site, although it appears as if they’re still figuring out what to put on there—so far, there are four items listed.

Christopher Kane

“It’s a bit mad, isn’t it? It feels like it’s happened all of a sudden and at some shows this season the front row was just all bloggers. I think it will die down though, and people know what they are doing. No one who wants to read a serious review of a show is going to look at what a 14-year-old thinks. But it has become more critical; people can say what they want about anyone on a blog without consequences and that’s quite scary. There are real repercussions for a designer if a photo of something is leaked by a blog; it can be copied in a fortnight and that can really harm a business. You have to be much more careful now.”

- Fashion designer Christopher Kane talks about the emerging internet presence in the fashion industry.

Rodarte for Target lookbook

Even though all of these pieces have already leaked, lookbook images for the Rodarte line have officially been released by Target.

The entire lookbook has yet to be published; however, we’re down to a little less than three weeks (the line is due in Target stores on December 20th)—the rest of the images are sure to come out any day now.

Prior to these photos, I was sure of which pieces I wanted to go after—now I want the whole collection! Those gloves and stockings are to die for!

Roland Mouret for Net-A-PorterRoland Mouret’s “Rainbow” range for Net-A-Porter has been launched today.

The French designer - whose legendary moon dress was made famous by Spice Girls singer Victoria Beckham - has teamed up with the London-based luxury online clothing store to create an exclusive brightly-colored range of dresses under his RM by Roland Mouret label.

The party styles include six mini-dresses and one mini-skirt with a luxurious silk appearance made from draped fabrics which effortlessly conceal lumps and bumps and result in an extremely flattering fit. The frocks can be bought at Net-A-Porter.

This is not the first time the iconic dress designer has worked on a range of fun party dresses. Last year, it was revealed Roland, 47, would team up with singer-turned-designer Victoria to create a limited edition range of little black dresses. Victoria first became a fan of Roland in 2006, when she was seen wearing his 50s-style Galaxy grey dress. The following year, she donned his skintight Moon dress in hot pink when her soccer star husband David made his first appearance for the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Jennifer Lopez in Louboutins at the VMAsVery much unlike Manolo Blahnik’s sense of appreciation for who made him a household name (ahem, Carrie Bradshaw), another famous shoe designer named Christian Louboutin is thankful for Jennifer Lopez’s song, in which his name is repeated 45 times.

It may have something to do with the fact that Lopez actually got his name right:

“Jennifer told me about the song back in January, and I was extremely flattered. But of course, in America the public pronounces my name in like a million different ways. So Jennifer called me, and she was like, ‘Listen, I want to make sure that I get it right.’ And she did…from the very first time!”

Louboutin is currently hard at work on the heels set to appear in the music video for the pop star’s track, scheduled to begin filming next month. At least she’ll be able to edit out any future shoe malfunctions during those performances.

With collaborations ranging from Jennifer Lopez to Barbie, Louboutin makes it clear why he can turn down diffusion lines!

Stefano Gabbana and Domenico DolceDolce and Gabbana are set to receive an award for their contribution to Milan.

The design duo - full names Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana - say they are “honored” after learning they will be given the Ambrogino D’oro, an annual award presented to citizens who have contributed meaningfully to the city.

“We are extremely honored and excited to receive this award. Milan is not only our city and where our home is, but also the place that allowed us to make our dream come true. Milan has given us a lot and we cannot be but happy that our work contributed to its well-being,” said Stefano.

The award takes its name from Milan’s patron saint, Saint Ambrogio, and is given out on the same day the saint is celebrated.

The duo are not the only designers to be recognized for their contributions to a city. Last week, Alber Elbaz’s was honoured for his cultural impact on Paris as creative director of Lanvin.
