John GallianoFormer Dior creative director John Galliano will attend his trial this week. The troubled fashion designer has been in rehab since he allegedly made anti-Semetic remarks in a Paris cafe in February, but insiders say he will be in court in the French capital for the initial hearing on Wednesday.

"John is still in rehab. The treatment will be long and arduous - and ongoing for a long time in the future - but he is humble, apologetic and hopeful that he can recover," a source said.

The initial hearing - which will be held in front of three judges but no jury as it is a minor offence - is expected to last between four and five hours, with witnesses from both sides giving evidence. The 50-year-old designer - who was fired from Dior over his remarks - is expected to blame a drug and alcohol addiction for the tirade, while his lawyer Aurelien Hamelle admits John can't remember the alleged incident.

"He does not remember because he was in an altered state... They do not reflect what he thinks. He's not anti-Semitic or racist," said Hamelle.

Emma Watson in ChanelHarry Potter actress Emma Watson found it "overwhelming" being shown around Coco Chanel's apartment.

The stylish actress was flown out to Paris by the French fashion label ahead of a film premiere and was given the VIP treatment, which included seeing where label's founder and fashion icon lived her glamorous life.

"My most glamorous moment was probably when Chanel flew me to Paris to try on premiere outfits. It was ridiculous - I went around Coco Chanel's apartment! I found that really overwhelming."

Despite going to many premieres over the years, Emma hasn't got bored of choosing outfits and knows when she's found the right one: "It's really weird, you just know when you've got the dress on. I'm like, right that's it, no need to look any more, this is the one."

Tobey Maguire for Prada

Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire is the new face of Prada menswear. The actor is seen in a number of outfits for the campaign, shot by David Sims, and he reveals he is happy to do it because he is in "admiration" of the brand's head Miuccia Prada.

"A great supporter of the arts, Miuccia Prada has inspired a culture of creativity that is woven through every aspect of her company, from her collections and campaigns to every design detail in her stores. I have such admiration for her artistry and I'm thrilled to be a part of Prada's fall campaign."

Lara Stone and Tom Ford for Tom Ford BeautyFashion designer Tom Ford insists that his new beauty collection only includes essentials. Ford recently launched the cosmetics range and while some of his peers come up with a whole variety of products, Tom has kept his as simple as possible.

"I don't like B.S. and a lot of promises, and there are a lot of products out there you don't even need. My brain works in the same way whatever I do. The approach is practical, architectural and I use the same vocabulary whether I'm designing clothing or cosmetics."

Tom says creating a cosmetics line has always been something he wanted to do because he had such an interest in make-up while growing up: "I've cared about cosmetics and make-up since I was a kid. When I was 14, I had to be taken to the emergency room because the cucumber slices I had put on my eyes - to camouflage the bags - had made them swell shut. I could eat cucumbers, but my eyes were clearly allergic to them."

Pop stars-turned-designers Ashlee and Jessica SimpsonJessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson are teaming up for a new clothing line. The singing sisters are to collaborate on a line of tween apparel featuring sportswear, denim and activewear in their first fashion venture together, which will be part of the Jessica Simpson Collection.

"Creating a tween apparel collection was a natural extension for the brand. I'm excited to bring my sister, Ashlee, along as co-creative director of this division, because she brings a savvy rocker edge that defines today's tweens," said Jessica, whose fashion empire is set to be worth an estimated $1 billion this year.

Ashlee hopes her venture into fashion will be inspirational for young girls wanting to experiment with their personal style: "My goal as co-creative director will be to design clothes that will help inspire young girls to express their personalities and creativity through fashion."

Karl Lagerfeld

“Whoever has time, because I couldn’t care less.  Today nobody’s really found the real story… I don’t have too much consideration for the poor people who try to write that book... I have nothing to say. But it’s interesting that people in fact are lazy. If they worked hard they would find interesting things. Nobody finds it! So I’m in a position to say ‘#### you, you’re all lazy pigs.’ And I certainly won’t help them!”

Freja Beha Erichsen for Chanel

After losing her longtime gig as the editor of Vogue Paris, Carine Roitfeld has returned to freelance styling. Even though she's self-employed, she doesn't have to look very far for work when she's best friends with creative directors like Karl Lagerfeld.

Chanel's head honcho hired Roitfeld to style the latest campaign for the label, starring -- of course -- Freja Beha Erichsen. While her styling abilities are indutibly fabulous, Lagerfeld's choice to shoot Freja in a photobooth brings down the quality of the photos quite a bit. While it's refreshing to see a change in the look of the campaigns, there's definitely a place for experimental shoots -- just not in glossy magazine pages.

Marc JacobsFashion designer Marc Jacobs gives praise to Alexander Wang and other young designers.

The Louis Vuitton creative director praised the Taiwanese clothing creator, along with other youngsters in the industry, and admitted that there is "always room" for new starters in fashion.

"People ask me about the younger designers, Alex Wang and all of them, I think they're great. I couldn't do what they do. It's not what I do. But just like in pop music and in the art world, people always want new work from the artist that they like but they also want new artists. I don't think one changes the other. There's always room for new designers, new musicians, new artists, new writers. Madonna, I don't think is showing any signs of slowing down, but that doesn't mean Lady Gaga isn't taking over the world."
