Christopher Bailey thinks people should always think what impression their clothes give.
The British designer - who is the chief creative officer of Burberry - believes you never get a second chance to make a first impression and dressing well is important.
"It's so easy to get distracted by what other people think, do or say. But they don't live your life. You need to know what you want and who you are and you have to convey it to others quickly, so you shine at first impression. You may not have a second chance."
However, Christopher warns against trying to follow trends, and thinks people should always have a "balanced" look: ''Wearing color can be gimmicky - you don't want to look like a tangerine walking down the street. It should be sophisticated, making your eyes sparkle and your skin-tone warmer. Balance bold choices with a neutral, so you never appear overwhelmed."

Mary-Kate Olsen’s Fashion Criteria

Mary-Kate Olsen can't leave the house if she isn't happy with what she's wearing.
The 25-year-old blonde - who runs three successful clothing labels with twin sister Ashley - says it's very important for her to be comfortable in the clothes she's got on otherwise she finds it a struggle to go out.
"I think as soon as you start dressing for someone else, it goes wrong. I can't leave the house if I don't like what I'm wearing. I mean, I literally can't."
However, Mary-Kate insists she's not obsessed by fashion, saying, "We're not really fashion obsessed. In fact, I don't know when things are fashionable or not. I'm not very aware of trends or hot new items. We're not cool."
Mary-Kate also revealed how she and Ashley want to carry on expanding their fashion range and look to Tom Ford for inspiration:

Nicole Farhi: Celebrities Get Paid to be on Catwalk Front Rows

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Fashion Designers, Fashion Shows, Rumors,
Nicole Farhi claims celebrities are being paid tens of thousands of dollars to appear on the front row at catwalk runway shows. The designer has called the alleged system "unprofessional" and "stupid" because it results in more interest being paid to the stars attending such events rather than the clothes on display.
"It is so unprofessional. I have never paid a celebrity and I will never do it. It's stupid. What do they show you in the papers after a fashion show? Not the clothes, but the celebrities who are being paid to sit at the show."
Following her comments, the 65-year-old French-born designer is expecting to be snubbed by fellow designers, but she doesn't "give a s**t" because she feels so strongly about the issue: "They will all hate me for it. I don't give a s**t because I think it is abominable."

Nicole Richie admits she's no "fashion icon" as far as her family is concerned.
The Winter Kate designer may be a mentor on American show Fashion Star, but says when she's at home, she is anything but.
"I'll tell you right now that no one's calling me a fashion icon. Now that you mentioned it, I'm going to start requesting that Joel start calling me that once every day, at least."
The 30-year-old former party girl - who is also the brain behind accessories line House of Harlow - has now branched out into fragrances with her new scent set to hit the stores in autumn.
"I knew exactly what I wanted to do because my mum would wear a combination of a few different oils and a few different lotions. It's a smell that's very special to me and reminds me of my mum," she told USA Today, explaining her perfume choice.
