Kate Winslet at the Golden Globes 2012The designer of Kate Winslet's Golden Globes gown has praised her elegant style.

The Mildred Pierce actress chose a black and white Jenny Packham dress from the British designer's latest collection and Jenny revealed she was thrilled to see Kate step out on the red carpet in her gown on Sunday: "I am a huge fan of Kate's work so I was very excited. Kate's style is very strong, so putting a selection of styles together was effortless. The dress Kate chose was literally completed the day we selected the styles. I think she looks divine - but I am biased!"

Jenny - whose clothes have been worn by Angelina Jolie and the Duchess of Cambridge - believes Kate is a perfect model for her dresses because they compliment her beauty rather than overpowering it: "I believe very much that the dress should make the woman feel confident and attractive. Kate, for example, wears very classic glamorous styles with well-defined silhouettes. The dress chosen combines these looks and does not overpower or compete with Kate's beauty."

Jamie Bell, Adrien Brody, and Willem Dafoe for Prada

Jamie Bell has walked the runway for Prada's menswear show. Miuccia Prada - who has been at the helm of the Italian fashion house since 1978 - recruited some of Hollywood's hottest stars, including Jamie, Adrien Brody, William Dafoe and Gary Oldman, to model the Fall/Winter menswear collection at Milan Fashion Week.

Jamie, however, admitted the experience accentuated his insecurities about his looks and made him realize how "short" he actually is: "You suddenly see how short you are. You discover nervous twitches in your face you didn't know you had, and you don't know where to look."

Angelina Jolie at the Golden Globes 2012Angelina Jolie dazzled in an Atelier Versace gown at the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The In the Land of Blood and Honey director wowed in a floor-length cream satin strapless gown with a side-split cut up to her thigh. A structured top, ruching at the waist and a flowing skirt highlighted the actress' tiny frame while cream peep-toe shoes, a red clutch and diamond stud earrings completed the look.

Angelina kept her hair and make-up simple with an elegant bun and bright red lipstick.

The 36-year-old actress wasn't the only star to impress in a pale creation on the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel with Charlize Theron, Elle Macpherson and Kate Beckinsale all wearing white dresses. However, not everyone shied away from bright shades with George Clooney's girlfriend Stacy Keibler in a red Valentino gown, Reese Witherspoon wearing a scarlet Zac Posen creation with Emma Stone dressed in a plunging plum Lanvin ensemble and Tina Fey opting for a purple dress.

Chloe Moretz on the red carpetChloe Moretz is "age appropriate" with her fashion choices. The 14-year-old actress likes to be experimental with her personal style, but doesn't want to wear anything too outlandish or raunchy.

"I think you can push the boundaries in a way of edginess, but I think you should try to stay appropriate to your age, definitely."

The Hugo star likes to attract attention for her unusual fashion choices on the red carpet: "I like to push the boundaries in what I wear, in that it's new and kind of funky. I'm usually a bit different than almost everyone else on the carpet."

Despite her success, Chloe insists she doesn't often splash out on designer clothes or accessories. Asked if she owns many designer items, she said, "Chanel gave me my first two Chanel purses ever. They're just so classic."

Jennifer HudsonJennifer Hudson is still trying to figure out how to dress her new figure. The singer-and-actress has lost over 80lbs since giving birth to son David in August 2009, and while she has developed a new love of fashion, she still can't decide on what look she wants to go for.

"I just love fashion now. It's so much more flexible, and there are so many more options out there now. I feel like my own little Barbie doll - I get to dress myself up. I hated heels before, but that's all I wear now. But because it's a new body, I'm trying to find out, how do I want to be perceived? Who is this new me? I knew how to be the big girl, but now I have to find out how to be this girl."

Although she is happy with her new figure, Jennifer recently revealed she was furious when she was Photoshopped by a magazine to look slimmer than she was. "It's like, 'Where's the rest of me?' They Photoshopped me probably to the size I am now on that cover, when we all know I was nowhere near that. To me, it did not send out a good message. And it did not represent me well. Did I not just prove that talent is enough if I made it this far? Being who I am, being the size that I am?"

Kristen StewartKristen Stewart is to become the face of Balenciaga fragrances. The Twilight Saga actress - who has previously confessed to not knowing much about the fashion world - is excited to be involved with the "cool" brand, as she has always been a big fan of the Spanish design house.

"Balenciaga has always stood out to me. Even when I first began to consider fashion and admittedly rarely knew the brand I was wearing, I always knew and loved Balenciaga. It feels full circle to be involved with something that spoke to me then and of course continues to excite me now. The brand is just cool. That's the way it is."

Creative director of the brand Nicolas Ghesquiere admitted Kristen was great for Balenciaga because of her "progressive character": "Kristen embodies the modernity of the new Balenciaga fragrance with her unique sensibility and intelligence. From her early appearance in Panic Room to her independent choice of Welcome to the Rileys, I've always sensed her progressive character. In 2006, I invited her to appear in a project shot by Bruce Weber. Since then, I've always wished to collaborate with her further, knowing that she shares the radical spirit of Balenciaga."

Mia Wasikowska for Miu MiuMia Wasikowska has replaced Hailee Steinfeld as the face of Miu Miu.

The Jane Eyre actress is set to star in the Spring/Summer 2012 campaign for the Italian fashion brand and the promotional shots - taken in London in December - will show Mia wearing black eyeliner, red lipstick and showcasing the latest designs along with accessories and handbags.

Hailee, 14, was recruited by Miu Miu in May but quickly ran into controversy when an image from her campaign was removed over safety concerns. The picture - taken by fashion photographer and film-maker Bruce Weber and showing the True Grit actress sitting on a train track while wiping away a tear - was blasted by the Advertising Standards Authority as "irresponsible" because it depicts a child in an unsafe location.

Mila Kunis for DiorMila Kunis is the new face of Christian Dior. The Black Swan actress has been signed up by the French fashion house to front its spring fashion campaign, which has been shot by Mikael Jansson.

"Mila Kunis is a very talented young actress; she embodies the true modern woman. Her performance in Black Swan was remarkable. She is very gifted. We are looking forward to a long relationship with her," said Delphine Arnault, deputy general manager at Dior.

Mila, 28, says she is still in the process of learning about fashion, but has always been a huge fan of Dior's designs: "I'm honestly just learning about fashion. In my daily life, I don't wear the most feminine pieces. But I love to feel feminine when I'm on the red carpet. I find that Dior is an incredibly grounded house. I always thought what Dior does is so sophisticated, feminine and beautiful."

She also said she enjoyed shooting the campaign, revealing, "They made me feel incredibly comfortable. I can't say it was the hardest thing to do."

Alexa ChungAlexa Chung admits her new fashion TV show is "really intense." The British beauty - who creates her own fashion range as well as TV presenting and DJ-ing - admits "24 Hour Catwalk," where designers are challenged to create a runway collection in a day, is tough and she believes even she began to go crazy as she had to stay up as long as the contestants.

"It's a very mean show. It's really intense. There's designers - there's a first round challenge where two of them go, and then the next two are really excited and pumped to be through and then we're like, 'Wait, you have to create a collection in 24 hours'. So then they have to stay awake all through the night. It's very mean, they get very emotional. But it also involves me staying up for 24 hours too! By episode six I was losing my mind," she said when speaking about the show on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Alexa is loved by many designers, with Christopher Kane previously stating she manages to always look phenomenal: "It was just one of those things. She contacts me, she wanted to wear something so it's great. She looks phenomenal, she always does."
