Alessandra Ambrosio and her babyAlessandra Ambrosio plans to return to work quickly after giving birth.

The Victoria's Secret model announced in December she and fiance Jamie Mazur are expecting their second child together and the 30-year-old beauty has pledged to return to her duties for the lingerie firm by July.

"I already have jobs planned for afterwards so hopefully will be back in shape! I told my booker and my manager, 'I know I have a job to do, so just book the jobs and hopefully it'll be fine.' I only have a few more jobs to do before I have the baby - all editorial, no more catwalk now - and then I hope to be back in London for the opening of the Victoria's Secret store in July. I should definitely be back for the next Victoria's Secret show - I have quite a while until then."

Alessandra - who already has three-year-old daughter Anja with Jamie - insists her pregnancy hasn't affected her work because she is feeling so good: "It's the same thing, the belly button sticks out a bit more, but it's the same job! I feel the same."

Colin McDowellAn "untested" designer should take the helm at Christian Dior, according to respected fashion commentator Colin McDowell.

The French fashion house has been looking for a new creative director for almost a year following the sacking of John Galliano for his anti-Semitic behavior and Colin thinks they should go for fresh blood rather than an established name:

"And so we come to the tragic case of Dior. And it is tragic on more levels than one: that a label needs a designer and that a man, for all his transgressions, needs a job. Fashion needs that man. To insert Bill Gaytten - an undisputedly brilliant technician, but not a designer - into the gap at Dior can be nothing but a temporary solution. It's high time this gap was closed. But why not with somebody young and untested, as Yves Saint Laurent was when he took over the reins at Dior at the tender age of 21 and went on to revolutionize women's clothes? I still believe that designers with genius and courage, traits which are invariably independent of age, are more likely to thrive at a grand Paris label than at brands in any of the world's other fashion capitals at this point," he wrote.

Sofia VergaraSofia Vergara would look "like a Christmas tree" if she didn't have a stylist.

The Modern Family actress loves jewelry and admits she needs someone to order her to tone down her look or she would over-adorn herself every day.

"I love jewelry -rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, you name it. If my stylist didn't stop me, I'd go out looking like a Christmas tree," she said.

The 39-year-old beauty often features heavily in polls about her looks and finds it amusing to be ranked as attractive as actresses much younger than her. "I am on these lists for 'best ass' or 'most beautiful' with women like Mila Kunis, who's, like, 20 years old. I have a son that age!" she told InStyle.

Sofia knows her good looks have helped her in her career and while she isn't ''ashamed'' to use her beauty to get ahead, she insists she also has talent: "Part of my career has always been because of the way I look. I'm not ashamed. It has opened doors. But I also know that if I didn't have something else, I'd be long gone."

Derek LamDerek Lam has left his post as creative director at Tod's.

The San Francisco-born designer joined the brand in 2006, one year after he first created a capsule collection for Tod's, but according to WWD his fall collection, presented during Milan Fashion Week last month, was his last for the Italian leather goods house.

While it is understood that his Tod's contract would have been up in September, it is unclear why Derek has left the company six months early.

Speaking on his appointment to the company in 2006, Derek revealed his hopes to inject a "sense of youthfulness" into the brand: "I think it was a matter of being comfortable with how each of us, as individuals, work - getting more familiar with what the Tod's world is and spending much time with Diego [Della Valle, Tod's chairman and chief executive officer] and understanding his vision for the brand going forward. I hope to inject a sense of youthfulness and new ideas with fabrics and colors. I have a strong point of view about what a customer wants from a luxury brand: It has to be witty, unpretentious and stand or the heritage of beautifully made product."

Jessica SimpsonJessica Simpson aims to inspire others through her dress sense.

The heavily pregnant reality TV star always considers others and how they would react when she chooses her clothes, rather than wearing then outfits for herself.

"I always wonder if what I'm wearing will be something that people would compliment, or want to wear. I don't ever get ready just for myself, ever. Every time I think I'm gonna be photographed, I wonder if somebody will see what I'm wearing, and if it'll help them put something together, maybe for school?"

The Dukes of Hazzard star has her own fashion line - which has made over $1 billion in sales - and feels it was a "natural transition" for her to go into design. She is also looking forward to imparting her knowledge as a mentor on new show Fashion Star, which starts this week in the US, and sees her appear alongside Nicole Richie and designer John Varvatos.

Cindy Crawford with daughter Kaia Gerber

Cindy Crawford is jealous of her 10-year-old daughter's youth.

Kaia Gerber recently made her modeling debut in a Versace kids campaign and while mum Cindy, 46, was undoubtedly proud, she admits to feeling slightly envious.

Asked about her feelings on the aging process, the supermodel told the Daily Mail newspaper, "Oh, please. I am a normal woman, I have good days and bad days and it's not really that fun. I look at my daughter and I'm like, 'You have my old skin and I want it back! You have my old legs, I want them back! You have my old hair, I want it back!' She is just getting more and more beautiful and, you know ... But at the same time, there's so much good that comes with it. And I think if you're happy in your life, it's a lot easier to take."
