Even if you watched Beyonce's Thanksgiving special on ABC last week, you might not have known one of the secrets to her performance success.

During a sit-down with the ladies of The View, the singer said her mother isn't the only thing that supports her during her concerts. Her four pairs of stockings do as well.

"Why do you have four pairs of stockings on?" . "Because you have to keep it supported," Beyonce explained while slapping her thighs.

You can see that part of the discussion at the 4:10 mark.

HTC HD7 windows phone 7 giveaway

We're giving away an HTC HD7 Windows Phone 7 device to one of you guys here in our "Doing More with Less" giveaway! Not too familiar with WP7? Be sure to check out our Windows Phone 7 review, and read on for the details on how to enter.

Over the past three years, we've seen smartphones shrink in size while gaining a ton of functionality. In fact, it's hard to imagine ever using the bulky QWERTY sliders that were just about as thick as the original Game Boy. With the iPhone, Android devices, thinner BlackBerrys, and now WIndows Phone 7 devices jumping into the fray, we've truly got a situation where we are able to do way more than we'd ever dreamed we could do with a mobile phone, in a device that is so small that it comfortably fits in our pocket while the manufacturers tout how thin they are. Speaking of doing more with less, did you know that the smartphone in your pocket has more technology in it than the first rocket that went to outer space?

Now we want to hear from you--hit the comments and give us some examples where you can do more with less. It can be technology-related, or not. We will be picking a random winner based on the comments received. Here are the official rules:

  • How to enter: Just leave a comment on this article, focusing on "Doing More with Less". You can leave one comment per day until the giveaway’s close. Each comment must be substantially different than the previous.
  • Timeframe: The contest ends on November 29th, 2010. At this time comments will be closed on this post and a winner chosen with Random.org.
  • Eligibility: The contest is open to US residents only who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry.
  • Prize: The one winner will receive the HTC HD7, a T-Mobile Windows Phone 7 device that's an approximate retail value of $500.

This giveaway is brought to you by the new Windows Phone 7. Learn more about Windows Phone online and see it in person at local T-Mobile stores today.

Kate Middleton and Prince William

Roberto Cavallil at work designing

Roberto Cavalli is not afraid to ask for help when it comes to his clothing collections. Despite his label recently celebrating its 40th anniversary, the legendary designer says he is happy to have input from other people as he wants to keep his creations interesting and up-to-date.

"To keep up with the tam-tam of fashion, we need help from stylists. For Armani, it is enough to change one lapel on one jacket. From us the people expect new design, new style, new way to attract the new boyfriend."

Tilda Swinton at the OscarsVictoria Beckham wants to dress Tilda Swinton. The singer-turned-fashion designer has already seen a host of female celebrities wear her designs and admits it would be a dream come true if the Oscar-winning actress donned one of her creations at a prestigious event.

"I'd like to dress Tilda Swinton, I'm obsessed with her, and also Angelina Jolie, Kate Bosworth and Michelle Obama - she would look great in the dresses. I'm flattered whenever I see a woman wearing one of my dresses - they don't have to be famous - and it's always a great compliment," Victoria said when speaking about who she would like to dress.

Victoria says celebrities often ask to wear one of her dresses, but she is very careful about how many she gives out because she doesn't want anyone in the same outfit.

"There has been competition to wear the same dress but I deal with it in a diplomatic way. I know what it's like - you don't want to wear the same thing as someone else. All the requests come through me. I make sure I manage it well so there's no embarrassment of people wearing the same thing. I don't want people ending up in those 'who wore it better' features, unless it's me because I wear them first. It's been amazing. The response has been breathtaking."

Much to my eyes' dismay, it seems like catsuits aren't leaving the red (or pink) carpets anytime soon. First was Kelly Osbourne, and now Anne Hathaway wore a more flattering leopard printed version for the Lanvin Halloween/H&M party.

Regularly listed at the top of best dressed lists, it's almost painful to look at the photos of Anne from the party. While it was Halloween, perhaps she could have put more effort into the costume (is it too much to ask that the mask match the color of the rest of her outfit?) or ditched the mask altogether.

Let her off the hook for having fun, or is this simply unforgivable?

Alber Elbaz says the inspiration behind his H&M collaboration was to give all women the chance to wear his creations. The Lanvin artistic director has designed a range of affordable clothing for the Swedish high street brand and is keen to appeal to females who can't normally afford to buy his pieces.

"It was an exercise for me to understand what is the relationship between high fashion and fast fashion. Ninety-five per cent of women cannot afford Lanvin, so let them have a taste. It's like if I was living in a palace and opened some doors and said, 'Have tea with me, taste the food.' It's not about giving away something that belonged to someone else; it's about sharing."

Elbaz also insisted he didn't do the collaboration to be cool, he just wanted the Lanvin to be "relevant."

"The beauty of our business is that we can do things and then move on. This project with H&M was about being relevant to a moment. I have always said that we are not a cool brand. It's not about being cool or not. We try to be relevant. I'm not going into the cool club. It's not my address." The range hits stores this month.

Actress Kate Bosworth thinks Proenza Schouler designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez are "true artists."

The 27-year-old loves the creations from the design team and gets excited every time a new collection is due.

"They're so effortless. True artists. I'm so excited to see what they do every season. And they know if I'm not there in person, I dissect their collection online. I so look forward to it. It's incredible."

The design team love Kate in return, and think she is perfect for their clothes. "We know her pretty well. She's pretty easy to dress. We know what looks good on her. We showed her a few things and everything fit perfectly. She makes our job really easy," McCollough said.

Speaking at the Fashion Group International Night of Stars at Cipriani Wall Street in New York, Kate confessed she loved being the pair's date for the evening: "I just get to be their date, which makes me very happy."

Lindsay Lohan's done it. Naomi Watts has tried it. Even Michelle Williams has attempted it. Now, it's Christina Aguilera's turn to channel Marilyn Monroe.

In this new commercial for Royal Desire, the smiling singer almost makes us forget that she's in the middle of a divorce. Of course, now we're just wondering who she's spraying the new scent for ...
