You can’t expect to guest host on The View and not be prepared to address “weighty” issues.

During her appearance today, fashionista Victoria Beckham contributed to a discussion about the fashion industry’s supposed preference for thinner models. Beckham - who is also a designer herself - claimed the business is actually trying to implement some changes.

“The CFDA - which stands for the Council of Fashion Designers of America - have actually reached out to designers, stylists and casting agents asking them to not work with underage girls, girls that are too thin and to be ethnically more aware,” Victoria stated. “And I think designers are listening.”

So what has Beckham done to help promote better images? “I had a casting last week and I had some terribly thin girls coming in that…and it wouldn’t have worked.” (Note to awfully thin girls—you’re hired.)
