Mo WilliamsDropping Dimes On The Daily is all about the team looking at the previous night’s performances and mentioning those that did pretty goodly and those that did pretty badly.  Goodly is a word, right?  Anyway, this will be a quick look around the league, so don’t expect a ton of text, just some daily fantasy basketball goodness!!!  Please note that this is the fantasy basketball section of ElevationMag.com’s Daily Top Picks. Check it out and see your daily rumors, quotes, headlines, and facts!  But read the fantasy section HERE!

The Fig Cap: “Watch my back spin.”

Thanks for joining the Dropping Dimes crew for the last DDOTD for the month of February. It’s hump day, Wednesday, and three more days till the weekend so hopefully Dropping Dimes can give you a break from the day’s grind. Without further adieu, we shall begin our journey though the fantasy basketball world from Tuesday night.

David West is heading in the right direction fantasy wise. Lines like 25 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and a block are like the north star for fantasy owners. My name is Chandler, Tyson Chandler. Chandler is earning his double 0 status with the double-doubles that he is putting up. Last night, Tyson had 14 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. Desmond Mason completes a productive Hornets’ front court with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Chris Paul had an off night with 7 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.

Lebron James is turning the fantasy corner and his scoring has increased since the All-Star break. Last night, Lebron continues his evolution with 35 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists, 2 steals, a block and 3 treys. Welcome back Zydrunas Ilgauskas and our condolences for your family loss. We all know that family comes first. The big Z had 11 points and 9 rebounds last night. Larry Hughes did not have a great scoring night but he did manage to fill the box scores with 11 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.

Let’s scan the box scores for the Indiana and Phoenix match up…what the heck, Darrell Armstrong?! Darrell Armstrong turn the clocks back to the ’99-’00 season when he was a productive fantasy contributor with the Orlando Magic. Last night, Armstrong got the start for Jamaal Tinsley who was out with hurt sore left leg (surprised?) and produced some old school stat lines of 17 points, 6 assists and 5 treys. Don’t rush to pick up Armstrong from the waiver wire. Jermaine O’Neal tickled the boxcores last night. Check out this line from O’Neal, 28 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals and 6 blocks! The only blemish to an awesome night for JON was the 7 turnovers. Call off the fantasy ballers coast guards, we have a Mike Dunleavy sighting! Dunleavy made an appearance to fantasy relevance with his 16 points and 6 rebounds performance.

Amare Stoudemire was a monster on the glass last night. Stoudemire had 23 points and 18 rebounds and 11 of them were on the offensive glass. What bad knee? Steve Nash renews MVP talk with his 25 points, 4 rebounds, 11 assists and 2 three-pointers performance. Shawn Marion an off night from his usual stat stuffing ways with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists with a steal and block. Do we have some high standards for the Matrix or what?

Gilbert Arenas was missing his usual running mates Caron Butler (back spasms) and Antawn Jamison (knee) last night. Agent 0 still managed 26 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 treys. Jarvis Hayes got the start in place of Butler and pulled out a line of 21 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 threes. Expect Hayes to head back to the bench when Caron is healthy.
Jason Kidd was threatening triple double territory last night. Kidd had 26 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 threes. Vince Carter took the night off from sulking and dropped 27 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists and a couple of threes. Carter had a couple of ferocious dunks last night. Check it out if you can. Let’s grab a drink at the Bostjan Nachbar! Nachbar was served up 23 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 treys last night.

Dirk Nowitzki continues his bid for MVP with the thumping of the Timberwolves last night. Dirk led the charge with 23 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 threes. Lieutenants Josh Howard and Jason Terry had a good night last night. Howard was able to get over his ankle woes and stepped up with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 three pointers. JT was money with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists and also had 2 threes.

Minnesota only managed 65 points last night, which means off nights for Wolves fantasy players. Kevin Garnett still managed a double double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Ricky Davis dropped in 15 points, 4 rebounds and 4 treys. KG might not be in Minnesota much longer if the losing continues.

Jason Richardson was the fantasy ringer with his stat stuffing performance last night. Check out J.R.’s box score, 12 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks. Okay a little more points and the 5 turnovers are a little disappointing but Jason Rich will be a fantasy contributor rest of the season. Al Harrington is enjoying his stay in Golden State much more than Indiana. Last night, Big Al put up 15 points and 5 rebounds. Monta Ellis got the start in place of Baron Davis and managed 17 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Mickael Pietrus got the start while Stephen Jackson was out with a fractured big left toe. Pietrus had 11 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals.

The Bucks are on a roll and Michael Redd is leading the fantasy resurgence. Redd dropped in 31 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 6 treys. Charlie Bell continues to start as the league shortest SF at 6’3”. Last night Bell put up 20 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 3 threes. Back up SF, Ruben Patterson was on last night with a line of 19 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Mo Williams and Andrew Bogut both doubled up. Williams had 16 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists. Bogut had 13 points, 14 rebounds and 2 blocks.

You are all caught up! Catch you on the rebound!
