Dropping Dimes on the Daily - 11.30.07
Not too many games to choose from last night, but plenty of fantasy production went down - mostly before a National audience on TNT. Let’s stay strong and finish up the last weekday of the month…
The Fig Cap: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The Nuggets dropped their third straight, and it seems like the only ones that came to play for Denver were Allen Iverson (21 points, six assists, three steals) and Carmelo Anthony (23 points, four boards, two steals). Those of you that were all over Anthony Carter after his “huge” 17-point game? He rewarded you with five points in 30 minutes. Oh, and two turnovers with six fouls. Can Chucky Atkins just hurry up and get back into things?
The Lakers got production from everywhere last night, coming back from a 17-point deficit. Kobe Bryant did his thing, going for 24 points, six boards and seven assists. Andrew Bynum put up another double-double with 12 points and 13 boards. Surprise line of the night was Sasha Vujacic’s 22 points (including 8-of-9 from the line).
You all may want to test the waters for Luke Walton in your leagues. I know this isn’t Wire to Wire (but what is?), but with Vladamir Radmanovic wasting 22 minutes of play last night, Walton may fit in nicely in the near future. He’s a solid all-around player that won’t hurt you anywhere. Plus, he has some pretty cool Grateful Dead tattoos…
For my thoughts on the Knicks, go here. I’ll spare you on their numbers while I talk about Glen Davis getting some solid garbage playing time and finishing with 13 points, six boards, a steal and a block. Ray Allen and Paul Pierce each put up 21, but the only guy to get at least 30 minutes last night was Davis.
Golden State crushed Houston at home. Leading the way, of course, were Baron Davis (27 points, eight assists, five steals) and Stephen Jackson (19 points, six boards, seven assists). Thankfully, I have started them both in the meaningless Fantasy Hoops Challenge over on Facebook! Go me.
Monta Ellis and Al Harrington both got starts while Kelenna Azubuike’s minutes are slowly becoming irrelevant. Bail while you can.
Have a good weekend, all.
