Grant Hill and Kirk Hinrich - Fantasy BasketballDropping Dimes On The Daily is all about the team looking at the previous night’s performances and mentioning those that did pretty goodly and those that did pretty badly.  Goodly is a word, right?  Anyway, this will be a quick look around the league, so don’t expect a ton of text, just some daily fantasy basketball goodness!!!

The Fig Cap: Getting ready to take it for the sixth time this season

Only two games last night, but plenty of action to talk about.

The Bulls finally put up 100 points in a game, albeit in a losing effort to the Suns.  The Mavs and Spurs locked up in a Texan battle, with Dallas coming out on top.

Some solid guard play came all around.  Kirk Hinrich got the invitation to begin playing this season, dropping 6-of-13 field goal attempts - finishing with 17 points, seven assists and two steals.  Steve Nash doubled up for 10 points and 15 assists.  Too bad he went 3-11 from the floor, but with a win, the Suns will take it.  Leo Barbosa dropped 5-of-7 treys on the night, finishing with 25 points.  Fellow guard Raja Bell only had eight points, but did grab seven rebounds.  Devin Harris looks solid out there, getting 36 minutes of burn.  Harris racked up 18 points on 8-13 from the floor, while dishing out five dimes and ripping three steals.

Aside from Manu Ginobili (25 points, seven assists, three steals), the Spurs didn’t play well.  Yes, Tim Duncan had 24 points, but he only had five rebounds and failed to block a shot.  If I wanted that, I would’ve drafted Corey Maggette seven rounds later.  Tony Parker was an uncharacteristic 1-11 from the floor, finishing with seven points and eight dimes.  Michael Finley, Bruce Bowen and Fab Oberto combined to go 3-11 for eight points.

Line of the night goes to Luol Deng.  The Bulls forward put up 23 points, nine rebounds, a three, a steal and two blocked shots.  10-of-18 from the floor and a perfect 2-of-2 from the line gets the nod.  If you’re hoping to buy low on him, you may have just missed your chance.

Have a good weekend, all.  Go Buckeyes!  Hit it, Lloyd!
