Sam Cassell - Robert Swift - Fantasy BasketballDropping Dimes On The Daily is all about the team looking at the previous night’s performances and mentioning those that did pretty goodly and those that did pretty badly.  Goodly is a word, right?  Anyway, this will be a quick look around the league, so don’t expect a ton of text, just some daily fantasy basketball goodness!!!

The Fig Cap: Giving a picture to the term “Bumping Uglies”

Four players in the league went for over 30 points last night, with cagey veteran Sam Cassell leading the way against the Sonics with 35 points, eight dimes and two steals.  Steve Nash wasn’t far behind, notching 34 points - most of which coming from downtown as he was 7-10 from beyond the arc.

A few big men posted some huge lines with David West topping most, though New Orleans dropped the game to the Blazers.  West put up 34 points on 14-26 shooting while pulling down 18 rebounds.  His running mate Chris Paul recorded yet another double-double, going for 18 points, 12 dimes and three steals.

LaMarcus Aldridge had some foul trouble woes, but Jarrett Jack made up for it by putting up 20 points and four boards. Not to be outdone was Martell Webster who also put up 20 and four, but drained three treys and recorded two steals.  It should be noted that Jack came off of the bench, which may be his permanet slot if he keeps producing at this level.

There are a few 20 and 10 guys that I should mention:  Chris Bosh (26 pts/10 reb),  Rudy Gay (25 pts, 10 reb), Kevin Garnett (23 pts, 13 reb, seven dimes, four steals), and Carlos Boozer (23 points, 12 reb).

Hedo Turkoglu deserves his own line, going for 24 points and 15 rebounds - more boards that Dwight Howard and Rashard Lewis pulled down…combined.

Line of the night?  I’d love to give it to Josh Smith again.  Dude’s going nuts so far this season, putting up 22 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, four steals and five blocks.  However, I have to go with King LeBron James in this one.  LBJ did the triple-double the right way: 32 points, 15 boards, 13 assists, three steals and two blocked shots.
