Injury Lowdown: Not So Swift - Robert Swift Out For The Year
Posted by Ron Chow Categories: Injuries, Northwest Division, Seattle Supersonics, Site Features,
Seattle Supersonics center Robert Swift will miss the entire regular season after tearing the ACL in the right knee. He injured the knee during an exhibition game against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.
Fantasy Lowdown:
Hello, Nick Collison, it is time to make like Dead Poet Society and “Seize the Day!.” If Nick Collison cannot put up fantasy worthy numbers this year then he should join Fantasy Bust Eddie Griffin and ride in his SUV! Eddie gives a new slant on “Ridin Dirty.”
There is talk that Johan Petro will take over the center position. Last year, Johan averaged 21 minutes as a starter with 6.3 points and 5.2 boards. I may not be a math whiz but that leaves 27 minutes at the 5 spot and some minutes at the 4 spot for Nick to gobble up. Nick Collison should get 30 minutes of burn and keep your fingers crossed, 12 points and 8 rebounds could be attainable. If Collison is available on the waiver wire, grab him. If you have not drafted yet, Nick Collison would be a nice late round pick.
