The Fig Cap: “C’mon, Dirk, stop playa hatin’, man!”

Tracy McGrady is hotter than Jessica Biel right now as T-Mac hung 45 points on the Dallas Mavericks, shooting 17-for-29 from the field.  Alas to no avail for the Rockets as they lost to the Mavs, but this is fantasy basketball we’re talking about, so T-Mac’s owners are loving him like their mothers… In that same game, Dirk Nowitzki double-dipped to the tune of 30 points and 10 boards, which is sounding like sweet music to me since I have him in the Pro Fantasy Sports Experts league I’m in.  By the way, I’m currently in fourth place in that 14-team league, ten games out from first.  All in due time, I will win that league, all in due time… No Chris Paul, Peja Stojakovic, and David West?  PHOOEY!  The Hornets have Jannero Pargo (25 points), Desmond Mason (21 points on an ugly 6-for-18 from the field, nine boards), and Rasual Butler (19 points, 11 rebounds)... Dwight Howard is up for ESPN’s NEXT issue concerning who will be the next big thing.  There’s some tough competition, including one of my favorite ballplayers, Jose Reyes.  However, I voted for the Man-Child and last night’s performance was very deserving of my vote - 17 points and 15 glass cleanings.  The boy is a monster!... Staying down in Orlando, Darko Milicic had 11 points and 10 boards in only 27 minutes.  The boy needs some burn and I’m not talking from the sun.  I’m talking burn on the court… My favorite line of the night - Tyson Chandler with 10 boards and four points, shooting 50% from the floor (1-for-2) and 100% from the line (2-for-2) and three “get that shiznit out of here"s in 37 minutes of play… Ray Allen didn’t shoot the way we know him to shoot (6-for-21 from the floor), but did finish with 22 points and led the league last night in dime drops with 11 and most importantly, a rare win for the Sonics… But, as badly as Allen shot, Devin Brown was a lot worse for the Hornets, chucking up 17 shots with only three makes, which is as ugly as the Bizzaro Jessica Biel… Til next time!
