Jessica Simpson is very attractive. She is not a very good actress and if you want the odd cover song redone she can do an adequate job. Jessica is not the sharpest knife in the kitchen; remember her “Chicken of the Sea” comment on her Newlyweds reality show. Jessica Simpson is a looker and not much else.  She is a one-trick pony.

Ben Gordon is my Jessica Simpson pick. This other Ben in Chicago can fill the net with ease as his leading the Bulls in scoring last season can attest to. Round 7, Pick 6: Ben Gordon, PG/SG, Chicago Bulls

Ben Gordon will start as the Bulls SG on Opening Night. This is a difference from the last two years where Little Ben was the 6th man. Last year in that role, Ben scored 16.9 points, and hit 2.1 treys/game. Now as a starter, you can expect a slight bump in his scoring - 20 points/game is not out of the question. Gordon is primarily a jump shooter, which explains his career FG% of 41.7% and only 3.3 trips to the line. Remember what coach said about jump shooters - “Don’t foul a jump shooter. Just put a hand up to contest the shoot.” No foul, no free throw attempts. Like many shooters, Gordon can shoot the lights out one night and the next night it could be brickfest.

Ben Gordon only averaged 2.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 0.9 steals/game. Not great numbers for a PG/SG eligible player. With Big Ben and P.J. Brown in the frontcourt, Gordon’s rebound totals could drop. Gordon will not help your fantasy team a lot in the other stats but that is not why you drafted him. Ben’s role on your team like on the Bulls is to score.

It’s the 7th round and I don’t see many potential 20-point scorers available. Enjoy the scoring from Ben Gordon, as you would enjoy another cover song from Jessica Simpson… because you are not getting much else.
