The author James Reasoner reviews Criminal, Vol. 6: “As much as I enjoy Ed Brubaker's writing in Captain America and other superhero comics, I think his best work is to be found in his on-going series of noir graphic novels, Criminal.”

At Newsarama, Graham McMillan makes the case for a Marvel revival of Micronauts. “But it’s not just happy memories – or the chance of some sweet reprint royalties – that could and should make this appealing to Marvel; the Micronauts are reportedly being primed for a movie produced by JJ Abrams and written by the people behind Zombieland, which sounds as close to a recipe for ideal franchise revival as possible.” Hell to the yes!

Paul O’Connor at Longbox Graveyard looks at runs of several comics, Incredible Hulk #331-345, Jungle Action #6-18, Daredevil #20-49, The New Teen Titans #1-25, and Avengers #1-35 (the original one). Titans still holds up after all these years; The Avengers? Not so much.

Ricky Sprague at Project Child Murdering Robot makes the case for “imagination, lack of” for destroying the sales of the modern comic book.

Animation guru Eddie Fitzgerald, whose blog Uncle Eddie’s Theory Corner should be bookmarked right away, had a nice chat with George Clayton Johnson, co-writer of Logan’s Run and scriptwriter on a number of classic Twilight Zone episodes.

At Bookgasm, JT Lindroos reviews Craig Yoe’s newest IDW book: Bob Powell’s Terror, and comes away impressed: “Storywise, peculiarly for this early work, Powell seems to have an interest in and knowledge of near-death experiences.”
