Michael Uslan: The Boy Who Loved Batman
Michael Uslan has had a very interesting career in comics - he went from fan to comic book writer to producer of the modern era Batman films. Uslan has been called one of the 25 Most Influential People In Comic Book Movies.
Now Uslan has just signed on to write his autobiography for Chronicle Books. The book, The Boy Who Loved Batman, traces Uslan’s journey “from a comics-obsessed childhood in 1950’s New Jersey, to the fulfillment of his vision of the Dark Knight over the course of six Batman films.“ The book will also feature “comic reproductions, photos, and illustrations.”

Alas, we’ll probably have a new Batman movie before the book comes out. The Boy Who Loved Batman is scheduled for release in Spring 2011. Hey, Chronicle? If your marketing people are smart, they’ll somehow tie its release to coincide with the release of a Batman movie. You’re welcome.
Uslan was also the producer of the two Swamp Thing movies and Catwoman, but we forgive him for those for three reasons: Adrienne Barbeau, Heather Locklear, and Halle Berry.
Uslan has also written comic books over the years, most recently the mini-series Archie Marries Veronica.
