Comic Book Jobs: Checking Out Craigslist
Despite the buzzwords that get thrown around, rich people are not really job creators, they’re money-holders.
The real job creators are in the comic book industry, and some of them are on Craigslist. Here are a few to help you:
If you have a comic book store in the Los Angeles area, a low-budget filmmaker wants to borrow it for a short-film shoot from October 7-9.
Famous Monsters of Filmland in Los Angeles is looking for “a creative, self-starting Graphic Design Intern.”
And if you’re looking for a more traditional intern gig, 1821 Comics is looking for someone to “build designs for the company and reading new projects that come into the company, research, errands, etc.”
In you live in the Toronto area and love the comics, Zenescope needs some booth help for Fan Expo 2011, at the Metro Toronto Convention Center.
And finally, Booth Babes are always in demand, this time in Chicago, but you “you must be skinny with well-developed assets.”
Sorry, plus-sizers.
Good luck, job seekers!
