Gwyneth PaltrowGwyneth Paltrow reportedly wanted to keep her marriage breakdown secret.

The Iron Man 3 actress - who announced last month she and Chris Martin were separating after 10 years of marriage - was said to have been keen to allow people to believe they had no problems, but the Coldplay frontman felt it was "wrong" to pretend everything was fine.

"It was his idea to announce the split. They had drifted apart, and there was no chance they'd get back together, so he felt it was wrong to keep pretending," a source told The New York Post.

The former couple - who have children Apple, nine, and Moses, eight, together - have been holidaying in the Bahamas since news of their separation was announced. They broke the news with a statement on Gwyneth's lifestyle website GOOP in a post titled "Conscious Uncoupling."

Justin BieberJustin Bieber is close to reaching a plea deal in his driving under the influence (DUI) case.

The "Boyfriend" hitmaker was arrested in Miami in January and charged with DUI, resisting arrest and possessing an invalid driver's license, but all three charges will be dropped if he pleads no contest to reckless driving, TMZ reports.

It was previously claimed the 20-year-old star - who will receive a year's probation as part of the agreement - would refuse a plea deal if it involved being subjected to random drug testing, but the proposal from prosecutors does not include this as a condition.

Justin was driving a rented yellow Lamborghini when police stopped him for allegedly drag racing. Toxicology test results later showed the singer had traces of marijuana and Xanax in his system at the time of the arrest.

Jordan Lane Price and Macaulay CulkinMacaulay Culkin wants to get married before Mila Kunis.

The Home Alone star is reportedly eager to tie the knot with his soap star girlfriend Jordan Lane Price before his pregnant ex-girlfriend marries Ashton Kutcher to prove he is finally over the Black Swan star. "Macaulay is convinced that Jordan's the one for him. They are crazy about each other," a source told The National Enquirer.

Jordan has been touring with the former child star's cover band The Pizza Underground in recent months. "The band may be a joke, but Macaulay's love for Jordan most definitely is not. They could be formally engaged within weeks, and married by summer. Mila has her eye on a summer wedding as well, so it will be interesting to see who gets to the altar first," the source added.

Mila, 29, split from Macaulay, 33, in 2011 after eight years together and the brunette beauty was single until she started dating her former That 70's Show co-star Ashton, 36, in April 2012. Chris Martin and Gwyneth PaltrowGwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin had couples therapy before separating.

The couple - who are currently holidaying in the Bahamas with children Apple, nine, and Moses, seven - announced yesterday they were splitting, and friends say they brought in outside help to try and repair the cracks in their 11-year marriage.

"They really tried to make the marriage work, but sometimes it's best to not be married. They know that about each other now. They have worked really hard for a year or more, going to therapy, trying to make it work - and she's been more honest than ever about how hard marriage is - but they just decided it was best to not be together anymore as a couple," a source said.

Despite the news, the Iron Man star was seen out publicly with the Coldplay frontman several times earlier this year and they even sang together at a recent charity event in aid of their children's Los Angeles school, performing "Cruisin," her song with Huey Lewis in 2000 movie Duets. "She called the event chair to say she'd like to sing with Chris," a source said.

Riff Raff and Katy PerryKaty Perry went on a date with rapper Riff Raff.

The "Roar" singer seems to be putting her split with John Mayer firmly behind her since she was spotted on a date with a unlikely-looking new suitor last week. The corn-row sporting hip-hop artist reportedly took Katy on what he called the "Holy Trinity" of dates - sushi, bowling and drinks.

Katy, 29, posted a picture of her striking a pose with Riff Raff on Instagram, captioning it, "TBT to when I went on a date with Riff Raff aka @jodyhighroller." Despite being a "throw back Thursday," it appears to only have been referring to a few days earlier since Riff Raff first shared the picture, writing on the social media site, "ON A DATE WITH KATY PERRY SHE IS PURDY [sic]."

Chris Martin and Gwyneth PaltrowAnother Hollywood couple has called it quits.

Gwyneth Paltrow took to lifestyle website GOOP to announce that she and her husband Chris Martin, who fronts British band Coldplay, have called time on their marriage of ten years:

"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate. We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been. We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time. We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and coparent, we will be able to continue in the same manner."
