After 14 years of marriage, singer Shania Twain and her rarely seen husband, Robert “Mutt” Lange, have chosen to separate.
The two met back in 1993 and married shortly thereafter. During their relationship, the country star and her producer hubby collaborated on most of her albums including Come on Over, The Woman in Me and Up!. In the past few years, the private duo have spent the majority of their time living at their homes in Switzerland and New Zealand.
Shania’s rep confirmed the marital news in statement today. “Shania Twain and her husband, music producer Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange, are separating after 14 years of marriage. This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time.”
Twain, 42, and Lange, 59, also have a 6-year-old son, Eja D’Angelo.

Pete Doherty and Amy Winehouse: The Ugly Kiss

I’m not sure if this should be considered the grossest thing in some time - or simply the most fitting.
Earlier this week, troubled musicians Pete Doherty and Amy Winehouse spent some quality time together. After a concert performance, the Babyshambles member continued his freedom celebration (he had just served 29 days in jail for a probation violation) at Winehouse’s London home. When the party ended, the guest made sure to kiss his hostess goodbye.
While this was not a sight most people should see, it really does make sense. I’m sure these two have far more in common than Pete and Kate Moss ever did. It’s not like the model could ever live without good skin…or showers.

Are Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo Over?

As frustrating as Beyonce and Jay-Z can be, there’s something to be said about couples who like to keep their relationships private. Those who dish on the details usually open themselves up for a lot of heartbreak and embarrassment. Case in point: Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo.
A short time ago, the singer was gushing to Glamour magazine about her new beau. “I’m in love, yeah. Big time. It’s only four months. I can’t believe it. It feels like forever. I love this guy. Can you feel it?” Now it sounds like her much-publicized romance may already be coming to a close.
According to TMZ, Simpson and the Dallas Cowboy have gone their separate ways. Time will only tell if this is true. If this relationship is anything like her previous one with John Mayer, the ending could drag out over several overtimes.

Hugh Hefner an Admirer of Miley Cyrus

While this invitation may seem particularly creepy, Hugh Hefner simply knows a potential money maker when he sees one.
Calling Miley Cyrus a “very pretty lady”, the 82-year-old Playboy founder recently told Extra the Disney star would be welcome in his magazine—that is, when she becomes of age. (She’s still got over two years to go.)
While I’m certain Cyrus (or her handlers) would never accept Hef’s proposal, who could blame him for trying? I mean - if she’s gonna make racy photos of herself anyway, why wouldn’t he offer money for more?

Finally. The newlyweds have left the Bahamas and shown us what they look like as a couple.
While I’ll admit Mariah Carey, 38, and Nick Cannon, 27, look happy…I’m still having a hard time believing they’re actually married. If I didn’t know any better, I would have thought they were out on a very nice prom date.

Those fortunate enough to live near 17 particular North American cities may have a chance to catch Madonna in concert later this year.
The ‘Sticky & Sweet Tour’ kicks off this August in Europe and then hits the US just over a month later. The singer will start promoting her album, Hard Candy, in New Jersey on Oct. 23 and eventually wind her way back to the East Coast. Madonna will wrap up in this country on Nov. 26 in Miami. Presale tickets for some of the locations will go on sale next Monday, May 12.

I wonder if Britney Spears is experiencing any pangs of jealousy right now.
Last night during a Paris concert, Madonna found a new lady to tease the audience with. This kiss comes nearly five years after the singer’s much talked about smooches with the pop princess and Christina Aguilera. (If you need a reminder of those moments, you can see them again after the jump.)
I guess it doesn’t matter if Madonna is 45 or pushing 50. A racy publicity stunt works at any age for her.

Yesterday, we posted pictures from this year’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala. While there were a multitude of hideous outfits to comment on, I don’t think any woman would have wanted to trade places with Natasha Richardson.
The Parent Trap actress, who was escorted by designer Tom Ford, did her best not to step on her lovely gown. Unfortunately, all she managed to do was inadvertently expose herself to the throng of paparazzi.
I’m betting hubby Liam Neeson is quite thankful he wasn’t there for that one.
