Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino says rehab was "unbearable."
The Jersey Shore star has opened up about his stint in a treatment facility in March to cure his addiction to prescription pills, describing it as the toughest experience of his life.
Speaking in a teaser for the first episode of the hit MTV show's sixth season, Mike confessed, "The last couple of months I have been really working on getting back to who I really am. I was dependent on prescription pills. I knew I needed help and I went to rehab. Rehab is the most unbearable, unpleasant experience you could possibly go through, but I am the cleanest and healthiest I have ever been since I was 21 or so."
The 30-year-old star was confronted by his housemates - Snooki, Pauly Delvecchio, Sammi Giancola, Deena Cortese, Vinny Guadagnino, Jenni "Jwoww" Farley and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro - around the dinner table about his problems, and he revealed he has found a new lease of life since becoming sober.

Slash has defended Lindsay Lohan following her latest arrest.
The Liz & Dick actress was arrested just after midnight on Wednesday for fleeing the scene of an accident in New York when her car allegedly hit a pedestrian and after it was revealed she had been at a Slash concert before the incident, he took to Twitter to defend her. "The situation last night w/Lindsey was a lame paparazzi stunt. She didn't do anything. it's being blown out of proportion (sic)," the musician wrote.
Lindsay's alleged victim, Jose Rodriquez, claims she was "slurring" her words after the collision outside the city's Dream Hotel. "I saw this car come real quick and hit me. I was in so much pain. I fell to the side. When she got out of the car, I asked, 'Why did you do that?' She said, 'You have to get out of the way.' She told me I have to move. She was slurring. She smelled like alcohol real bad," Jose said.

Denzel Washington: Whitney Houston Was an Example

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Music, Drugs, Drunk, Obituaries,
Denzel Washington thinks that Whitney Houston's death is an "example to keep it together."
The 57-year-old actor believes his friend - who was found dead in the bathtub in her Beverly Hills hotel room in February - didn't realize the terrible toll her addiction to cocaine and crack had taken on her and should be a warning to all actors and musicians not to be seduced by the dark side of fame.
"Whitney was such a sweet, sweet girl and really just a humble girl. It's more of an example to me or the rest of us to keep it together. I was listening to her song 'I Look to You.' It's prophetic. Maybe I'm speaking out of line. Maybe she thought she could have one. And then the next thing you know, her body was betraying her. She didn't know that her body was aging quickly. She couldn't take it. Your body can only take so much. Some people survive [Hollywood and fame], and some people don't."

Richie Sambora Inspired by Daughter to Get Sober

Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora says his daughter was his motivation to get sober. The rock icon has admitted that 15-year-old Ava - his child with ex-wife Heather Locklear - was a "big part" of his decision to go to rehab to be treated for alcoholism for a second time last year.
"She (Ava) was like an angel to me, man ... that was the catalyst for me actually getting sober," he told Classic Rock. The 53-year-old musician continued, "Luckily I wasn't that guy who lost his band, his family, his house and his job. I wasn't a victim."
His first spell in rehab was in 2007, after the death of his father Adam and amidst the breakdown of his marriage to actress Heather. Richie blames being in a rock band for his substance abuse problems, which included heavy drinking and eventually a reliance on painkillers.
"I was in a rock 'n' roll band! Drinking was a badge of honor," he explained.

Michael Madsen Released from Hospital

Michael Madsen has been released from hospital.
The 54-year-old actor was taken to a medical facility after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) on Wednesday, but has now been released, and his attorney Perry Wander says his prescription medication could be what caused him to appear drunk at the wheel.
"Michael has been on prescription medication that easily could have made him look to be under the influence and caused him to fail the sobriety test," Perry said.
Madsen had a blood-alcohol level of 0.21, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08, after his arrest on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. He has been charged with a misdemeanor DUI and bail set at $15,000 and his Pontiac GTO automobile has been impounded.

Joe Simpson has pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence (DUI).
The showbiz patriarch - father of Ashlee and Jessica Simpson - claimed in a Los Angeles court room today he was not driving after drinking alcohol last month, despite blowing .12 on the breathalyzer, .04 higher than the legal limit. According to TMZ.com, Joe is due back in court in October.
Joe - who is also a manager to both of his daughters - was stopped by officers on Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, at around 10pm on August 4 and the police thought he was intoxicated so arrested him. He was booked and spent the rest of the night in a cell. He was released at 9:41am the following day and did not have to post bail. He was later charged with two misdemeanor counts of DUI.
If convicted on both counts, he could face a year in jail, but because it was his first offense he is more likely to face a $1,000 fine and 36 months probation.

Michael Madsen was taken to hospital following his arrest.
The Kill Bill actor was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) in Malibu, California on Wednesday after police found him to be twice the legal limit but rather than go straight to jail, Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told RadarOnline he was taken to a nearby hospital. Michael - who had a blood alcohol level of .20, with the limit set at .08 - underwent a medical evaluation at the facility.
The gossip website also reported an empty beer bottle was found on the passenger seat of his car, which has since been impounded.
Michael was arrested in March on felony charges of child endangerment with cruelty to a child after an argument with one of his sons at his Malibu home. Mug shot pictures of the star - who shares the house with his wife Deanna and their three sons - showed him looking disheveled and Sheriff's Deputy Peter Gomez confirmed, "He appeared to be under the influence of alcohol." However, the case was not taken any further due to insufficient evidence.

Jenna originally pleaded not guilty to the charge and another of driving without a valid license, but the second count was dropped due to her guilty plea.

Bobby Brown is recovering well in rehab.
The 43-year-old singer entered an undisclosed facility last week and his lawyer has now revealed he agreed to seek help as part of a deal struck following his arrest for driving under the influence (DUI) in March.
