The Motown legend was named as a back-up guardian for Prince Michael, Paris and "Blanket" in their late father's will, and although they are now under the shared custody of their grandmother Katherine and cousin Tito Joe "TJ" Jackson, she has made it clear she will step in and care for her godchildren if needed.
"For the first time, Ross said she was willing to step in 'if needed.' She had never spoken like that before. Whether she wanted to be listed as guardian or not, she's not going to abdicate any authority," a family member who was present during Diana's recent visit to see the kids told The New York Post.
After the recent drama of Katherine losing and then regaining guardianship, Diana wanted to make sure the children were fine and traveled to see them in person in Calabasas, California. "[After Michael's death in 2009, Diana would phone the kids to see] if they needed advice or anything else. But last week, she wanted to meet with the children in person to make sure she heard all the right things. Things you can't easily detect on the telephone, like body language," she added.

Sharon Osbourne says her son Jack Osbourne is doing "really, really well" in his battle against multiple sclerosis.
The TV presenter insists the 26-year-old star - who learned of his illness in April, just two weeks after his fiancee Lisa Stelly gave birth to their first child, Pearl Clementine - will survive the disease because of his "positive state of mind," and she has thanked everyone who has supported her son through the traumatic time.

The former child star - who has a long history with drug abuse - has checked into a treatment center in Southern California in a bid to get help for her cocaine addiction. Since entering the facility, the 48-year-old actress - the youngest person ever to win an Academy Award - has been visited several times by her father Ryan O'Neal, who is desperate for his eldest child to get clean.
"Tatum recently went back to rehab last month, and she is at a facility in Orange County. Ryan has been visiting her regularly because he is so concerned about her. They are working on their complicated relationship. Tatum is just really truly struggling with who she is as a person. It's very sad to see her still suffering from her addiction to cocaine," a source said.
Tatum - who has had a complicated relationship with Ryan over the years and were, at one point, estranged - has been in out and out of rehab throughout her life as she struggled with her drug addiction.

Jacksons to File Guardian Plea Today

Michael's mother and nephew are planning to share custody of Prince Michael, 15, Paris, 14 and 10-year-old Blanket after Katherine was stripped of her rights with temporary control given to TJ, and they plan to begin court proceedings tomorrow.
According to RadarOnline, Katherine's lawyer Perry Sanders said in a statement, "Before 10 this morning, Charles Shultz (TJ Jackson's lawyer) will give notice to interested persons that we intend to file a pleading tomorrow regarding co-guardianship. The pleading will speak for itself and be consistent with my prior statement issued on this subject. Tomorrow we will learn the court's pleasure on when and how [the judge] chooses to handle the request being made tomorrow. No further statements will be made regarding this pleading until subsequent to us learning how the Court wishes to proceed."

Britney Spears isn't sure what type of wedding she wants.
The X Factor judge - who has been married twice before - is set to tie the knot with her former manager Jason Trawick, and while he is keen to get married this Christmas, Britney is delaying plans as she is "confused" about whether she wants her nuptials to be huge or intimate.
"There is still no date or really even any plans in place yet. Jason really hope to get married around Christmas, and he wants to have a huge bash. Britney, on the other hand, is completely holding back from making any plans. She just isn't ready to commit to concrete plans, because she's not sure what the right thing to do is. She's confused. This is her third wedding, so she doesn't know whether she should go really big and make a huge statement or just do it super toned down," a source said.
Britney was previously married to childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander, although their marriage was annulled after just 55 hours in January 2004. She then wed dancer Kevin Federline in September 2004, and had two sons with him, Sean Preston, six, and five-year-old Jayden James. She got engaged to Jason last December.

Michael Jackson's 82-year-old mother recently lost guardianship of his children Paris, Blanket and Prince Michael after she was thought to be missing for 10 days.
"There are rumors going around about me that I have been kidnapped. I am here today to let everybody to know that I am good and fine. My children would never do anything to me like that," she told ABC News.
When asked why she felt it was OK to leave three minor children in a house without a guardian, Katherine explained she simply felt like taking a "short vacation."

Lindsay Lohan has been involved in a car accident. The actress got behind the wheel of her black Porsche Panamera after a shopping trip in Beverly Hills, California on Wednesday. While she was driving down the popular Sunset Boulevard, Lindsay reportedly tapped the back of a silver Mustang that wasn't moving.
A woman in the Mustang said, "We were sitting at a light and somebody hit us." The female claimed a male passenger in Lindsay's car apologized and left his phone number, before telling her they had to keep going because paparazzi were following them.

Katherine Jackson has lost guardianship of her grandchildren. The 82 year-old had legal custody of her dead son Michael's three children, Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket, but today her grandson TJ - son of Tito - requested and was granted temporary guardianship of the kids.
In California, Judge Beckloff said he wasn't suspending Katherine because of anything she did but because he is worried "intentional act from third parties" are stopping her from carrying out her duty of care to the kids.

The couple - who have been in a long-term relationship since meeting each other on the set of the Twilight Saga films - have reportedly set up home together in Los Angeles after agreeing they wanted to take their romance to the next level.
"They love each a lot because they can be real around each other. They have major trust with each other. They also don't like how they can't really go out all the time and do regular things so that has really made them homebodies for the most part. But instead of being hermits they try to hit the town on dates occasionally, but they think their fame has made them boring people for their age," a source said.
Although the couple prefer to stay at home or party at people's houses to maintain their privacy, Rob and Kristen did enjoy a date night in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Braison, 18, had his tonsils removed on July 5 and was released from the hospital, but his horrified mother Tish Cyrus has revealed he started haemorrhaging over a week later and doctors struggled to save him.
"After five kids I have seen it all. But I had never seen anything like this. It was just crazy. They did it in a surgery center and released him. The doctor said everything went great and sent us home. And then on the seventh day after surgery he had some bleeding. It scared him but it wasn't a lot. I called the doctor and spoke to a nurse. They said it was totally normal, just scabs coming off and there will be some bleeding, and said don't panic. But if there is a steady stream of blood that is not normal. Then on day nine he woke himself up because he felt something running down his throat."
