Real Housewife NeNe Leakes Evicted from Atlanta-Area Home
UPDATE: Leakes has made a statement denying she was ever “evicted” from her home.
Who knew when we were watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion special that there was more dish to tell? So much time was spent on NeNe’s relationship with her former BFF, that no one was aware of her situation back at home.
According to an Atlanta paper, the woman who Entertainment Weekly named one of “Bravo’s Entertainers of the Year” was recently evicted from her rented Duluth home. This was the 5,000 square foot residence that viewers got to see on the hit reality show. The report states that NeNe and her husband, Greg, were served an eviction notice back in September after accumulating over $6,000 in overdue payments. The couple, who had been living in the home since 2006, moved out in November.

When contacted by email, the 41-year-old housewife would not tell The Atlanta Journal-Constitution where she was currently living. (“It’s none of your business.”) But she did state that were were “financial able [sic] and stable” to be wherever they “feel fits.”
Leakes did try to clarify the situation with home saying that it “was a lease purchase corporate deal” between her husband and his company. “Things didn’t work out between the two of them so they did what they had to do and he did what he had to do.” She also made sure to point out that her name was not included on the eviction notice. “You don’t know my relationship with Greg so be careful what you report!” (Uhh - is he not your husband?)
So will NeNe’s housing issues be addressed in the next Housewives season? Will this situation force her to curb some of her spending? I guess we’ll just have to Watch What Happens!
