The Situation: Rehab Was ‘Unbearable’
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino says rehab was "unbearable."
The Jersey Shore star has opened up about his stint in a treatment facility in March to cure his addiction to prescription pills, describing it as the toughest experience of his life.
Speaking in a teaser for the first episode of the hit MTV show's sixth season, Mike confessed, "The last couple of months I have been really working on getting back to who I really am. I was dependent on prescription pills. I knew I needed help and I went to rehab. Rehab is the most unbearable, unpleasant experience you could possibly go through, but I am the cleanest and healthiest I have ever been since I was 21 or so."
The 30-year-old star was confronted by his housemates - Snooki, Pauly Delvecchio, Sammi Giancola, Deena Cortese, Vinny Guadagnino, Jenni "Jwoww" Farley and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro - around the dinner table about his problems, and he revealed he has found a new lease of life since becoming sober.
"I quit the hard s**t. I run four miles a day, I'm the healthiest I've been ... I was just exhaused, so tired. I just needed to just go to sleep, you know? I put my hands up, I was like, 'Man, I can't do this no more,' and that was it. I had to fix the problem. I went away for 34 days," he admitted.
This comes after the Celebrity Big Brother star was allegedly seen "downing so many cocktails he could barely stand" on a night out in Los Angeles on Tuesday. His representative strongly denied the claim and insisted Mike is still sober and was partying "with twelve other people and there was a pitcher of sangria for the other people. He did not drink any alcohol."
