Stevie Nicks officiated Vanessa Carlton's wedding on Friday.

The Fleetwood Mac star, 65, was on hand to preside over the "A Thousands Miles" hitmaker's ceremony as she married Deer Thick's lead singer and guitarist, John McCauley.

Vanessa, 33, posted a photograph of her saying "I do" in front of Stevie on Twitter late on Friday night, with the caption, "Thanks Stevie for marrying us!" She also posted a picture of her and John looking very happy together with the caption, "Married this gentleman two hours ago xo."

Vanessa previously gushed about her relationship with Stevie during an interview in 2007 and hailed the "Go Your Own Way" hitmaker as her mentor: "She is an extraordinary woman. She's such a good person. I know she's Stevie Nicks and she's so magical on so many levels and larger than life. But she's this earthy, amazing person at the end of the day. She's such a good woman. I look up to her. Touring with her was just the best. Being near Stevie is such a gift. She keeps giving to me."
