Nick Lachey has taken his pregnant wife on vacation.

The 38-year-old singer has had an "awesome" break in St. Lucia with Vanessa Minnillo ahead of the impending arrival of their first child.

"Just wrapped up an incredible babymoon at Jade Mountain. Awesome place, even better people! Here's our room view," he wrote under the photo on Twitter.

Vanessa was happy to show off her baby bump on the beach and was thrilled to have found swimwear that could accommodate her changing shape. "Bikini time. I'm loving wearing my Maya Swimwear even with my bump! I just got bigger sizes. B-23 & B-31 are my favorite bottoms! Don't forget SPF! (sic)" she wrote.

It seems the holiday was a great idea as Vanessa, 31, has advised other couples expecting a baby to remember to make time for one another before welcoming a little one into their lives.

"Make sure to make time for each other before baby arrives! Take a babymoon. Remember how you got here in the first place!" she wrote.

The couple - who announced Vanessa's pregnancy in March - wed in July 2011, five years after meeting on the set of Nick's music video, "What's Left Of Me."
