A 40-year-old man claiming to be married to Miley Cyrus has been arrested at her home.

Jason Luis Rivera, who claims to have been friends with the 19-year-old singer for five years, climbed over a fence at the blonde beauty's $4 million gated mansion in Los Angeles, where he turned up with a pair of black and green scissors. He started banging on the door and then hid in bushes in the garden when police officers arrived at the scene. Police soon realized where Rivera was hiding when he started lighting candles and they threatened to taser him if he did not come out with his hands up.

As he was led away by officials, a local TV station heard him telling officers, "I am friends with Miley Cyrus. I am. She's my wife. Me and Miley have been friends for five years."

Rivera - who had scissors, money, notes and ID in his pockets - had what seemed to be a tie around his neck, but when officers tugged on it a large pink heart appeared from his chest.

"Rivera thinks they were married. I would say delusional is a good characterization of him," said Lieutenant Brian Wendling, of Los Angeles Police.

According to sources, he "has a lengthy record in Texas, including a trespassing charge."

Rivera was charged for trespassing and burglary and bail has been set at $1,000. Miley was not at home at the time of the incident. In 2009, Mark McLeod served time in jail for stalking Miley when she was a minor and claimed the pair were "secretly married."
