Anna Kendrick has split from director Edgar Wright.

The 'Pitch Perfect' actor had been dating Edgar since 2009 after he directed her in the movie Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, but the pair have now called time on their relationship because they found it difficult to maintain a long distance romance with Anna based in Los Angeles and Edgar in London.

"Anna and Edgar really love each other, but the relationship ended amicably. They're both great, funny people," a source said.

Anna spent a great deal of time in London during the course of their relationship and is a fan of all things British, recently revealing she craves English tea: "Every time I go to England the first thing I do is have tea. I crave it to the point where I panic, 'What am I going to do when I get home? I don't have a kettle.' But then the craving disappears - it's like something's pumped into the air."
