Daniel Radcliffe will ditch the lightning-shaped scar for a World War I uniform in the upcoming remake of All Quiet on the Western Front. Radcliffe has landed the starring role of Paul Baumer. The original version of the film won the 1930 Academy Award for Best Picture.
Emma Watson, who is focusing on her college career, has announced no new movie projects. She’s currently studying English lit and modeling for Burberry. After choosing from among numerous prestigious schools, Watson settled on Brown University in Rhode Island.
Unlike his co-star, Rupert Grint will not delve into drama after his lengthy fantasy film work. Grint is slated to appear in a comedy titled Eddie the Eagle, which details the story of England’s first Olympic ski jumping athlete. If you don’t think that sounds too promising, there’s more: Martin Scorsese is a big fan of Grint. “In a lot of scenes, the boy stole the show,” the acclaimed director said of the actor. “I would be very interested in working with him.”
Fellow Potter actor Tom Felton (who plays villain Draco Malfoy) also has plans for the future. He will take a turn in the horror film The Apparition.
