Many stars came out to remember Natasha Richardson last night - including members of her own family.

At approximately 8:00, the marquee lights on Broadway were dimmed briefly for the Tony award-winning actress. Although his appearance outside the Booth Theatre was brief, a somber took time out to hug several friends including actors Ron Rifkin, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick. Richardon’s mother, Vanessa Redgrave, and sister, Joely Richardson, were also in attendance.

The theater tribute was significant for several reasons. In addition to her memorable performance in Cabaret, Natasha was known for her work in Anna Christie. (She met her future husband during that 1993 revival). The 45-year-old was also scheduled to star with her mother in Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music.
