Update on DJ AM and Travis Barker’s Injuries
UPDATE: Travis Barker has just been released from the hospital as well.
One week after surviving a deadly plane crash, 35-year-old DJ AM (a.k.a. Adam Goldstein) has been released from the hospital. Goldstein, who was a patient at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, was originally listed in critical condition at the time of admittance. According to Dr. Fred Mullins, Adam was treated for second and third-degree burns to his arms and a portion of his head.
Adam’s departure was addressed in a statement released today by his rep. “While he is deeply saddened by the events, he is thankful for all of the love and support he has been receiving from fans and friends worldwide. We ask that you continue to respect his privacy as he rests and heals and mourns the loss of his friends.”

Meanwhile, Travis Barker - the only other survivor from that incident - could soon be leaving the hospital as well. Travis, who was also listed in critical condition last weekend, has been receiving care for second and third-degree burns on his torso and lower body. An officer who as on scene shortly after the crash said the two men had survived by sliding down a wing of the plane.
According to Jermaine Dupri, Travis’ friend and business partner, the 32-year-old drummer will be resting at home in just a few weeks. “He’s doing good, he’s gonna be alright. He’s just got a lot of healing to do,” Dupri told People.
Both men are both expected to fully recover from their injuries in about a year.
