Tiger Woods Charged: Faces Fine for Carelessness
Tiger Woods has been charged by the Florida Highway Patrol with careless driving, a non-criminal offense that will add four points to the golfer’s license.
The citation comes as a result of Woods’ car accident last Friday. Although Tiger has repeatedly avoided further questioning by authorities, a patrol official said their work on this incident is over. “With the issuance of this citation, the Florida Highway Patrol has completed its investigation into this matter,” Maj. Cindy Williams said.
The fine could cost as much as $164, a mere drop in the bucket to the millionaire athlete.
