Following Selena Gomez's announcement last week in which she told her fans that she would be canceling her Australian Stars Dance tour, fans were quick to speculate that it was due to exhaustion from her demanding career. Sources, however, have revealed that the former Disney star might actually be suffering from the autoimmune disease Lupus.

The insiders claim that the 21-year-old actress-singer was diagnosed with the illness a couple years ago and has managed to live with it since, but the disease's symptoms have taken their toll on Gomez recently.

"Selena has been going full throttle the past few years and her Lupus is really catching up with her right now. She knows that she needs to take some time to address the disease and look after herself better if she wants to live a full and healthy life," a source close to Gomez said.

Gomez's reps have yet to comment on the news, but from the looks of her latest Instagram photos - which see her among various family members for the holidays - she looks like she's doing well!
