Michael C. Hall and Peter Krause have more than just Six Feet Under in common. The two actors both know what it’s like to date your (television) siblings.

In early 2009, Hall married Jennifer Carpenter, his co-star on the Showtime series Dexter. After secretly dating for about a year and a half, the two later eloped on New Year’s Eve.

Now we’re learning that Krause, Michael’s former TV brother, is currently dating his on-screen sister. (Get it??) Parenthood‘s Lauren Graham confirmed the news in a recent interview with Redbook magazine.

“We met when I first came out here [in L.A., in 1995], but the timing wasn’t right,” she said about her history with Krause. “Though I think we liked each other. I remember one day he asked me over to his house to play a board game—and that’s exactly what we ended up doing. So I was like: This guy doesn’t like me. But I was also like: Who actually plays a board game? It’s so interesting to me that there was clearly a connection there back then, but I don’t think either of us was ready. He’s obviously a very confident, appealing guy. but he’s shy, and so am I. We stayed friends over the years, and I’ve always been a huge fan of his work.”

Although Lauren is speaking publicly about it now, she and Peter initially kept their relationship under wraps. “Nobody knew about it for awhile, because we like to be at home, cooking and not going out. I’ve also been really protective of it, because it’s important that you can buy us as brother and sister on the show.”

Let’s just hope they can make this work out—otherwise, we could see some awkward family moments in the future!
