UPDATE: Natasha now officially passed away.

Two days after taking a minor spill, Natasha Richardson‘s family are reportedly saying their goodbyes.

The 45-year-old actress had been skiing in Montreal on Monday when she fell on a beginner’s slope. Although Natasha did not hit anyone or anything, she was also not wearing a helmet at the time.

Believing there was nothing to worry about, the Parent Trap star supposedly laughed off the incident and refused suggestions to be seen by medics. Unfortunately, an hour after being escorted by resort employees to her room, Richardson - who had no visible signs of injury - started complaining of headaches.

Natasha was eventually transported to Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal, where she was met by her husband, actor Liam Neeson. Neeson had been in Toronto shooting a new film. The next day she was flown to New York so that she could reportedly be closer to loved ones. Members of Richardson’s acting family - including aunt Lynn Redgrave, mother Vanessa Redgrave and sister Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck) - had all been seen visiting Lenox Hill Hospital since her arrival.

Although there has been no official confirmation from her family, insiders claim there is no hope of recovery for the “brain dead” actress. Liz Smith is going as far to report that Natasha was taken off life support at 1:30 this afternoon.

According to a hospital spokesman, a family rep is scheduled to release a statement sometime today.

Natasha and Liam have two sons: Micheal Richard Antonio, 13, and Daniel Jack, 12.
