Despite all the makeup, costumes, tricks, and treats, there was apparently love in the air for Miley Cyrus and Benji Madden this Halloween.

Insiders at Adam Lambert's Halloween bash divulged that the "Wrecking Ball" singer was spotted snogging the Good Charlotte musician. "They were really into each other. I saw them making out at one point, and his hand was on her legs the majority of the time. They were very touchy-feely," one eyewitness said.

An insider close to Miley, however, says that things went down differently: "Nothing happened between Miley and Benji. After being introduced at the club, they chatted but it wasn't romantic. They left the club with a group of people and went to a house party. Miley and Benji had fun together, but they didn't hook up."

Neither Cyrus' nor Madden's camp have commented on the makeout session in question.
