Lindsay Lohan’s Drug Screen Positive for Opiates, Amphetamines

’s mandatory drug test revealed a positive result for both opiates and amphetamines, but it’s no big deal. The report shows that Linds is on two prescription medications which created the results: Dilaudid and Adderall. So…why is Lindsay Lohan, 24, being prescribed opiates and amphetamines?

The report says “The defendant indicates she has been on the same prescription medication for as long as she can remember.”

According to Drugs.com, is a narcotic pain medication. Persons using the drug are urged to consult with a physician if they drink alcohol regularly, suffer from symptoms of alcohol withdrawal or have a history of personal or family mental problems, alcohol or substance abuse. I know what you’re thinking: red flag! Just wait - it gets worse.

Dilaudid causes drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness and blurred vision - side effects which are worsened by the presence of alcohol. It is not advisable to use other medicines which may cause drowsiness while taking Dilaudid. It is also addictive, and abusing it is potentially fatal.

is used to manage ADHD (attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder) and narcolepsy. Adderall should not be taken by patients with a history of alcohol or other substance abuse (need we remind you that Linds has been in rehab three times)? Adderall potentially creates drowsiness and dizziness - which is worsened by alcohol and other medicines. Adderall is also habit-forming.

To sum up, Lindsay’s daily drug cocktail, which she’s been taking “for as long as she can remember” is made up of highly addictive medications which should not be mixed with alcohol and other mood-altering substances. Probably not the best meds for an actress with two DUIs on record who’s for violating the terms of her probation because she wouldn’t attend mandatory alcohol education classes.
