Prejean cites libel, slander, public disclosure of private facts, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional stress and religious discrimination in her suit. She even alleges a conspiracy spearheaded by pageant co-director Keith Lewis and PR professional Roger Neal, in which the two made “false and defamatory statements” about her, Carrie Prejean.
The pageant camp has responded to the suit by saying that any humiliation or stress Prejean experienced as a result of the beauty contest was due to her bigoted response to the gay marriage question, not any of their actions.
