Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn MansonEvan Rachel Wood was stunned by how "mean" people were about her relationship with Marilyn Manson.

The Charlie Countryman actress was just 19 years old when she began her four-year romance with the goth rocker, who is 17 years older than her, and she thinks people should have been more accepting of her decisions, especially as she was just a teenager making her own mistakes.

"People were pretty mean. At the time I hadn't yet been exposed to that kind of cruelty from strangers. If people were wondering why I was acting so-called crazy or like a teenager, it's because I was. People go through phases. People make mistakes. People go through life and don't get it right every time," Evan - who has a four-month-old son with husband Jamie Bell - told the Daily Beast.

The 26-year-old actress - who began her acting career when she was nine years old - feels sorry for 18-year-old Justin Bieber for the criticism he faces for his behavior off stage: "I can't imagine what it's like to be [Bieber]. When you're a teenager in an adult career, people expect you to be perfect and expect you to never make mistakes or to be a reckless teenager. And then when you are, they give you such a really hard time for it. You have to remind them that you're still a kid. Like, do people remember when they were that age? On this global level, people freak out. They like to be high and mighty and say, 'Oh, look at that person. I've never done anything like that.' But yes you have. Everyone's been a crazy kid."

Nicole KidmanNicole Kidman felt her life was "empty" after she won an Oscar.

The 46-year-old actress picked up the Best Actress prize for her role in 2002 movie The Hours and though she was delighted to receive the prestigious accolade, it magnified the struggles in her personal life following her divorce from Tom Cruise in 2001.

"[Winning an Oscar] can show you the emptiness of your own life, which is kind of what it showed me. I was having professional success and my personal life was struggling," Nicole - who has adopted children Isabella, 20, and Conor, 18, with Tom - told Australia's Harper's Bazaar magazine.

These days, the Grace of Monaco actress is happily married to country singer Keith Urban and she says their quiet life in Tennessee with daughters Sunday, five, and Faith, two, means she much prefers to take on smaller movie roles: "I'm not carrying the whole film, and it's not six to seven months' work like Moulin Rouge! I get to come for three weeks and then go home."

Kanye West and Barack ObamaKanye West has vowed never to mention Barack Obama's name again.

The "New Slaves" hitmaker has been criticized a number times by the US president - including advising young people not to look to the wealth of the rapper and his fiance Kim Kardashian as an example of success, and branding him a "jackass" after he interrupted Taylor Swift's 2009 MTV Music Awards acceptance speech - but Kanye believes the politician only uses his name to be "down" with young people:

"I just think that we're pop icons, and the President likes to use that type of thing just to be down [popular]. People were fine with me being everyone's punching bag for about five years - 'This is the person we love to hate, so if you want to distract people from everything that's going on...  just say you hate Kanye and there's going be 30 other people who say they hate Kanye.' That was kind of my position in culture and he kind of used that too - 'Oh, he's a jackass' - because that's how the world felt. I'm not going to mention him anymore, I'm past that, that's out my thoughts. That's lowering my priority of thinking at this point."

Ashley GreeneAshley Greene is being sued by her neighbors following a fire at her home.

The Twilight Saga actress - whose apartment in West Hollywood's Granville Towers went up in flames due to an unattended candle in March - is being sued by four other residents of the building, who claim the blaze has turned the historic building into a "disruptive construction zone."

And the plaintiffs - Timothy Long, a producer of The Simpsons, John Luciano, doorman Adrian Mayorga, and interior designer Anna Lobell - have slammed the 26-year-old star as being a bad neighbor who has never apologized for the fire and refused to co-operate with the investigation. "Living next to Ashley was pure hell. It was like living next to Studio 54, with people coming and going at all hours of the night. We would have had more peace and quiet living next to Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller," Mr. Luciano told the New York Post newspaper.

The group are seeking unspecified damages in their lawsuit, with their lawyer Keith Davidson saying, "My clients have been through hell."

Brittany MurphyBrittany Murphy's cause of death has come into question after new toxicology results allegedly suggest she may have been poisoned.

The 8 Mile actress was found dead at home in 2009 and the Los Angeles Coroner ruled her death was accidental, caused by pneumonia and "iron deficiency anemia." Five months later, the 32-year-old star's husband Simon Monjack, 40, also died of pneumonia and anemia.

Brittany's father Angelo Bertolotti wasn't convinced by the coroner's findings and The Huffington Post claims he ordered a new toxicology report after sending samples of his daughter's hair for independent analysis. Results supposedly showed the presence of 10 heavy metals above the "high" level set by the World Health Organization. The types of metals are commonly found in rat poison, pesticides and insecticides.

Angelo reportedly tried to sue the Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles Coroner's Office, accusing them of "failure to conduct toxicology tests" on specimens of hair and his daughter's death was "incorrectly determined to have been allegedly caused by pneumonia and anemia."

Kanye WestKanye West has been giving advice to students at Harvard.

The "Yeezus" rapper made his debut as a guest speaker at the prestigious Harvard School of Design yesterday, before his concert in Boston, and he explained why he's being doing two-hour interviews with the likes of Oprah Winfrey recently.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, he said, "The reason why I turn up so much in interviews is because I've tasted what it means to create and to be able to impact and affect in a positive way, and I know there is more creativity to happen. I know there are traditionalists that hold back the good thoughts and there are people [in] offices that stop the creative people and are intimidated by actual good ideas. And I believe, like, utopia is actually possible. But we're led by the least noble, the least dignified, the least tasteful, the dumbest and the most political. In no way am I a politician; I'm usually at my best politically incorrect and very direct. I really appreciate you guys' willingness to hone your craft and not be lazy."

Hilaria Thomas with her husband Alec Baldwin and his daughter IrelandAlec Baldwin's daughter Ireland has defended her father saying he's "not a homophobe."

The 18-year-old has spoken out after claims the former 30 Rock actor made a homophobic slur against a photographer, which resulted in his talk night American show Up Late being pulled off air for two weeks.

Ireland took to Twitter to support her father and wrote, "It takes a lot of strength for someone to release their anger. It takes a lot of strength and SUPPORT for someone to grow and become a better person. We all say things we don't mean. We all say things we can't take back... For someone who has battled with anger management issues, my dad has grown tremendously. My dad is not a homophobe or a racist."

In a statement, the 55-year-old star apologized for his choice of words, after reportedly calling the paparazzi photographer a "f**" hours after winning a court case against his stalker.

Gwen Stefani doesn't want her pregnancy to stop her working.

The singer is expecting her third child with husband Gavin Rossdale but rather than take things easy she is determined to continue with her career as normal. "Gwen is working through this and even going to a lot of parties and social functions as if she isn't pregnant at all, and she's not interested in having long conversations with her friends about it either. She's clearly trying to be the ultimate low maintenance mom," a source said.

As Gwen has been through two previous pregnancies - with her sons, Kingston, seven, and Zuma, five - she is finding this one a lot easier and seems to be breezing through it. "Everybody is wondering how Gwen is doing it... When people bring up that she's pregnant, she tries to change the subject - she's definitely trying to do something different with this pregnancy," the source added.
