1Password 4 with iCloud sync, built-in browser, demo mode a worthy upgrade
I can't deny how excited we at Gear Live are about AgileBits's update to its successful password management app. 1Password Pro is now at version 4, and with it comes an overhauled UI and a host of cool, new features like iCloud support, integrated full browser, and demo mode.
Undoubtedly, iCloud sync has to be the stand out feature. Now all of your iDevices that have 1Password 4 (1P4) installed will automagically have the same data whether it be iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, all transferred and stored in 256-bit AES encryption. You can also simultaneously use DropBox as sync protocol along with iCloud; great news for those who use multivendor hardware.
1Password 4 now has a new full integrated browser built right inside the app that has a URL bar, tabs and full access to your password vault.

Demo mode is a nifty feature that hides everything that you have stored and shows a faux user account with a list of logins. Great for journalists that want to demo the app or for end users to encourage their friends and family to buy it. We can see IT professionals using this feature while instructing enterprise employees in how to use 1Password.
With all these new features comes a caveat, the app is entirely new. This means that, even if you have and paid for the previous version, you have to buy 1Password 4 if you'd like to use it. The price is half off for a limited time at $7.99. The good news is that the old app will still be supported and you can transfer all your stored passwords to the new app seamlessly. The app is a universal binary app which, again, allows you to run it on all iDevices. Here is a run down of new features:
