Sonos has introduced the second-generation Play:5 wireless HiFi speaker, and we bring you our full Sonos Play:5 review in this episode.

A lot has gone into the redesign of the new Play:5, which you'll notice sports a curvier look and does away with the awkward handle that was found on the original model. On the inside, you've got a collection of six drivers with dedicated amplifiers behind the grille.

Being a smart speaker, the Sonos Play:5 integrates with the rest of the Sonos HiFi wireless audio system. It connects to your home network by way of the Sonos app, and from there, can stream music from just about any source you can think of--whether it's a streaming music service, podcasts, or files stored on your local network.

The new TruePlay feature allows you to accurately and automatically tune the sound of the Play:5 to be optimized for its placement in the room that you're in using an iOS device, and it really works.

Check the video for the full Sonos Play:5 review - if you're looking for a smart speaker that packs a serious punch when it comes to sound and features, this is the one to get.

I got a look at the HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 OLED notebook during the Showstoppers event at CES 2016, and it was one of the most surprising laptops I got my hands on during the show. As you'll see in the video, HP put a lot of effort into developing a PC that is both gorgeous and multifunctional. The end result is a 2-in-1 notebook that can be used in a variety of orientations (standard laptop, tent mode, tablet mode, and reverse mode,) with Bang & Olufsen sound, and a gorgeous OLED touchscreen display.

I chat with Mike Nash, Head of Customer Experience at HP, about the Spectre x360 line, including the model that sports that fantastic OLED display and incredible ash gray finish, in this episode.

If you ever get tired of Apple's flimsy iPhone charging cables fraying, breaking, or getting chewed up by pets, you'll wanna be sure to give the Titan Lightning Cable a look. Made from two laters of flexible, high-strength steel, I've found the Titan cable to be durable enough to withstand my three dogs. Previously, any official cables from Apple would be destroyed within a week, while the Titan model from Fuse Chicken has held up for months.

Aside from the cabling itself, the Lightning and USB connectors on the Titan line are permanently sealed with a one-piece housing that's been fused directly over the electronics and metal cabling. Paired with the steel body, this is how the Titan is made to be a cable that lasts.

You can pick up the Titan Lightning Cable now, or if you are on Android, get the Titan microUSB Cable instead.

The Philips Hue Beyond LED line includes a table lamp, ceiling lamp, and hanging pendant that allows you to set the scene with mood lighting and warm white task lighting. The Hue Beyond connects to your home network by way of the Hue Bridge, which lets you control it from iOS, Android, and Kindle devices from anywhere in your home (or even when you're away from home!) The unique thing about the Hue Beyond is that it has two independent light sources - an uplight and a downlight - which allows you to create a near endless mix of colors to match your mood, event, paint on the walls, or functional lighting for work or a task at hand.

You can also set timers, alarms, and even connect the lamp to a variety of apps and services by authenticating it to your IFTTT account.

I bring you a look at the Hue Beyond table lamp, and the Hue Beyond hanging pendant in this episode, showing you how to put it together, how to set up the Hue Beyond, and how to control it with the Hue app.

I haven't been liking how slow Fallout 4 is on the Xbox One due to massive loading times, and figured I would do something about it. Rather than running Fallout 4 from the internal 5400RPM Xbox One hard drive, or even my external 7200RPM drive, I decided it was time to hook up a solid state SSD to my Xbox One in order to take advantage of the much faster speeds that the technology has to offer.

The problem with SSDs? External SSD drives are expensive. So instead, I made my own. In this video I show you how to make your own external SSD, and in the process, vastly speed up your Xbox One loading times!

You'll need these two items:

TiVo just pranked a movie theater full of people in order to show off its new TiVo Bolt DVR! I flew down to Boulder, CO to be a part of the #TiVoSurprise event, where people were invited to see a screening of the James Bond 007: Spectre movie at the local Cinebarre. Near the end of the movie, commercial interruptions started happening, and people grew more and more upset at each one, with metal popcorn bowls and glass bottles getting thrown at the screen! Finally, TiVo came out and revealed the prank, and as a reward for hanging in there, everyone in the theater went home with a free TiVo Bolt with a one-year subscription included. It was very cool, and very funny to witness. Check it out in the video, and feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments!

The Philips Hue Go personal wireless light might be the coolest lighting accessory I've ever used. As you can see in the video, it looks like a cereal bowl that's been filled with light that you can carry around with you. You can turn on the natural dynamic effects feature for a living light color show, or set it to one of 16 million different colors of light with a 300 lumen light output. It's controllable with the Hue Light app for iOS and Android, but also has a button on the back that allows you to cycle through a bunch of different colors without the need for a smartphone or tablet.

The only downside is that you do need to have a Philips Hue Starter Kit or Hue Bridge in order to use it to its full potential, so if you don't already have a Hue system set up, that will set you back an extra $50 or so. Still, it's a great lighting accessory.

I bring you my Apple Pencil review in this episode. Apple designed the Apple Pencil alongside the new iPad Pro, to allow artist to draw and sketch on the tablet, but also for everything to be able to write and take notes as well. I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination, but I was very impressed by what I could accomplish with the iPad Pro once I had the Apple Pencil in my hands.

It gives an immediate sense that you can do more with the iPad, and when you go into an app that is use for image editing or drawing, even someone like me all of a sudden feels capable. It's rare that I get that Apple feeling that a lot of people who aren't technically inclined get. I'm an expert, and know all the features and how they work. With the Apple Pencil though, I definitely felt it - I'd say that I suck at drawing and fail at Photoshop...but with the Apple Pencil, I was empowered to try those activities with surprising results.

I highly recommend the Apple Pencil to buyers of the iPad Pro!
