A couple of week ago, Apple introduced a completely redesigned Mac mini, sporting a unibody enclosure along with an HDMI port and SD card slot. The new machine is much thinner than the original design, which the mini has been sporting for about five years now, and we figured we’d give you an up-close comparison of the two models so that you can see both the obvious changes, as well as the more subtle ones.

We hung out at the Apple Store at the Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, Washington, and decided we’d give you a look at the line, a couple of interesting people and stories, and of course—once we got inside—the iPhone 4 itself. Apple announced the iPhone 4 two days ago at WWDC 2010, and alongside it they released a video that highlights all the new features of the device. Get a look at Facetime, the iPhone 4 video calling technology, as well as high definition 720p video recording. Even more interesting is that iMovie for iPhone will be coming to the platform, which will allow you to edit videos directly on your iPhone, edit them with transitions and everything, and then upload it straight to YouTube.

Ever since we heard the news of Square and how they were aiming to change the face of credit card processing and transactions, we’d been excited to try it out. Square wants to give everyone the ability to accept credit cards as payment, making it simple to do with your mobile smartphone device. We had a few friends over to watch UFC 114, and since we all decided we would split the cost of the event, it seemed like as good a time as any to bust out the Square card reader and give it a try for the first time. We captured it all on video, and as you will see, using the Square reader and app was anything but simple. We are gonna chalk this one up to being a defective unit, although multiple customer service requests to Square have gone unanswered. We will let you know what happens if we ever get a replacement card reader dongle. In the meantime, enjoy the mayhem!

When Apple launched the iPad, they knew that users would need some sort of accessory to use with the device that would make it easier to type on and use as an entertainment consumption device. That said, they released the first-party Apple iPad Case in the hopes of providing that relief. The Apple iPad Case serves three purposes in our minds—first, it provides a layer of protection. It’s soft, and it keeps the screen covered when you are transporting it around. It isn’t the most protective cover you can get, but it serves the purpose. Secondly, it acts as a stand that lets you comfortably type on the iPad. In fact, it’s so comfortable that we wrote our entire 4,000 word iPad review on the iPad itself, using the case to prop it up. Lastly, the Apple iPad Case also let’s you stand the iPad up vertically in the landscape orientation. We’ve talked about the Sprint Overdrive 4G hotspot a bunch, including a look at a scenario where it saved us from the perils of AT&T in our Sprint Overdrive review. Well, in this episode, we review the Sprint Overdrive 4G mobile broadband hotspot, letting you know all the details on the device and what you can do with it. Seriously, this thing allows you to connect up to five devices (think iPhone, iPad, laptop, etc.) to Sprint’s 4G network at the same time in supported cities. The Overdrive will fall back to 3G if you leave a 4G area, still supporting up to five devices (albeit, a bit more slowly.) It’s a solid device, and it’s no wonder that Sprint’s trying to jump on the iPad bandwagon with the Overdrive.
