On Gear Live: Samsung S95C: The OLED TV You Can’t Afford (to Ignore!)

Nip/Tuck CarverFinally. The moment fans have been waiting two whole seasons for: the identity of The Carver will be revealed Tuesday, December 20th. The Carver, a serial rapist/murderer, has aimed most of his crimes at Sean McNamara and Christian Troy, plastic surgeons who provide the ‘beauty’ that The Carver despises. It’s not only the suspense that will have fans tuning in to FX at 10p.m. for the two hour season finale. Many of the show’s watchers are simply weary of the story line, and are eager for it to be over. So much of the show has focused on The Carver lately that many people feel the best characters are being overlooked. Whatever your motivation, be sure to tune in to FX for the big reveal.

Michael JacksonRelatives of Michael Jackson may have succeeded in their second attempt to secure a reality TV series deal. Music producer Cory Rooney is trying to get the project a go-ahead. Entertainment Weekly features the Reuters report:

The show would focus on a trio of second-generation Jacksons trying to restart their careers in music. The sons of Jackson’s brother Tito succeeded overseas as the members of boy band 3T during the 1990s but are trying to mount a comeback as adults.

They receive help from their father as well as other aunts and uncles on the show – including LaToya and Jermaine Jackson – but one of the obstacles they face is the notoriety their uncle Michael encountered in various courtroom battles during the past decade.

Still to be determined is whether Michael will join his siblings on the program, though footage of him interacting with Tito’s children appears in the pilot.

You can bet that many eyes will be on this one if it ever sees the light of day.

Writer Erik Jendresen says “We’re staring this stuff right in the face and going to deal with very real organizations and groups…We’re not shying away from any of this.”

Seth McFarlaneWow. I knew the entertainment business was fickle, but this is extreme. Fox will soon air the series Becoming Glen, which stars Johnny Galecki of Roseanne fame in the title role. Becoming Glen is the brainchild of Family Guy geniuses Seth McFarlane and Ricky Blitt, and therefore should be hilarious. Apparently, the show is about a successful 40-something guy narrating and looking back on his life when he was in his early 30’s, living under his parents roof. The catch? The pilot was shot four years ago. Fox is just now giving the go-ahead to the stunted series, beating out CBS and NBC for right to the show.
