NBC is putting out a new show called Treasure Hunters.  Now, for all of you who loved the movie National Treasure or The Da Vinci Code, this show will surely be a must-see.  Treasure Hunters is a reality show where two groups of “hunters” are placed at opposite ends of the globe.  Each week the groups will track down another clue to help them find the final treasure.  These clues will be in different cities in the United States, and even in other countries.  The trick is, neither group knows about the other and there will be eliminations based on who finds the clue last.  Another interesting detail about the show is that no one knows exactly what the treasure is that they are looking for.  The treasure could be anything from money to precious stones, but we won’t actually know until we see it in the final episode.

My Fair BradyI hate to ruin the constant on again, off again tension of the Knight/Curry VH1 series “My Fair Brady: We’re Getting Married!” but it looks like the two, have in fact, succeeded in walking down the aisle. The Brady and the Beauty said their respective vows on May 29th in Joliet, IL. I don’t want to give away too many specifics, so let’s just say we can expect a very “Adrianne” wedding, right down to the flowers and the bridesmaid gowns. Viewers can catch all of the wedding festivities during the “MY FAIR BRADY WEDDING SPECIAL” which premieres on VH1 in July.

Randall PinkettHe’s no longer The Apprentice after Sean took away his title, but last season’s winner Randal Pinkett is making headlines again.  Randal was one of 12 people Mayor-elect Corey Booker recently named as leaders of his transition team in Newark, New Jersey.  Pinkett, 35, will co-lead the economic development section, Booker spokeswoman Sakina Cole said. Is it me or the only apprentice winner that seems to have done well is Bill? The other winners seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth as far as face time on future seasons of the show or getting in the news.  Not a bad new gig for Randall.

Celine Dion Deal or no DealLooks like those gigs in Vegas aren’t keeping Ms. Celine Dion busy enough. On the June 5th finale of Deal or No Deal, Celine surprised contestant Casey Bell (and the audience) with an appearance via a big screen monitor. The news had already spread to the television crowd, but the impressive part of the show was Dion stayed through the entire hour. The admitted celebrity fan of DOND cheered when it was good, squirmed when it was tense and sung (yes sung) when our lucky contestant needed a Dion-sized dose of hope. The stakes were higher than ever on this season ender, as the impressive grand prize amount on the board was an unprecedented five million dollars. The contestant walked away with just over $170,000, though her case in the end was holding over $700,000. But don’t feel too bad for Casey Bell, she and her family were offered an open invitation to come see Celine next time they are in Las Vegas. If your feeling like a little “Deal or No Deal” action of your own, they are still accepting applications for next season. And who knows, maybe Celine will be back too…

Chris DaughtryApparently Chris Daughtry does not need Fuel to light his fire.

Despite the job offer Daughtry received from the established rock band within hours of being axed, Chris has decided to further weigh his options.  Instead of using the band as a crutch into the music industry, he plans on doing things his own way.

This could prove to be a risky move for Daughtry.  Will he become another blip on our radars like last year’s rocker Bo Bice?  Did he miss an opportunity to immediately tour like JD Fortun did with INXS?  You know what they say:  Out of sight, short of hair… sometimes out of mind.

Normally when you pull up to the pump you’re keeping an eye on the price as you try to squeeze in each drop of gas.  Now there will be something else to watch - TV. Gas Station TV said it will distribute programming to at least 500 gas stations across the country, in the hope of raising advertising dollars.  So when can you expect to see Gas Station TV?  Possibly by the first of the year at Murphy’s Oil stations. The program has already launched at stations in Dallas. Murphy Oil has over 900 stations located in Wal-Mart parking lots across 21 U.S. states, mainly in the Midwest and Southeast.  If your gas station is one of the lucky ones to get TV, you’ll be watching programs on 20” HD television monitors integrated into gas pumps at gas stations.  Gas Station TV says it will feature select ABC News content, including the popular “News You Can Use” segments from “Good Morning America”; local news, weather forecasts and traffic updates from ABC owned television stations; and entertaining promotional material from the ABC Television Network.  Sorry, there won’t be any remotes available.

Deal or No DealHe’s the man in the dark.  He’s the man with the money.  He’s the man who asks you to take the money and run.  He’s the banker on NBC’s hit Deal or No Deal.  The season finale aired Monday night and he had a lot of cash to give away…to the tune of $5 million dollars.  TVGuide.com recently interviewed the banker and he revealed that his role model was Mr. Potter from It’s a Wonderful Life.  It’s a tongue in cheek interview that kind of gets a little annoying.  Makes you wonder who the real banker is…

Joseph GannascoliJoseph Gannascoli plays Vito Spatafore on the Sorpranos and once praised Stacker 2 for helping him shed 140 pounds.  Gannascoli and the makers of Stacker 2 aren’t the best of friends anymore. NVE Pharmaceuticals, the maker of the Stacker 2 diet pill, filed a lawsuit in New Jersey on Thursday against Gannascoli.  NVE is accusing him of not doing enough to promote the diet-pill after receiving $316,000 over the last 2 1/2 years.

Gannascoli character on The Soprano’s was a closet gay mobster.  Gannascoli accuses the makers of the diet-drug of hating homosexuals.  He said to the New York Post that NVE stopped wanting to use him after his character was outed. “That was their problem. They were anti-gay,” Gannascoli told The Post. The diet company spoke out today in the New York Post…The president of NVE, Robert Occhifinto, strongly disagreed. He said the lawsuit had “nothing to do with the gay role,” but was launched because Gannascoli was so difficult to work with before he was ever outed on the show.

Gannascoli’s character was recently whacked on the show for being gay.
